I say what's true. The minute I saw it, it reminded me of Italy and to be honest, Assassin's Creed. smile.gif

The restriction on tilesets gets to me though. I purchased it and loved the commands and whatnot and the graphics, and I don't mind the square tiles, its just not being able to put more than one in xD

But I'm reconsidering it now, and I thinking I'm gonna put myself through learning the Tile swap script just to do it lol

Well, I did have a plot I was hoping to get into it as it seemed to fit the graphics. :hmm

SwapXT is very useful, and it allows you to have a lot of different resources. Once you get the hang of it, it's very simple to use.

Otherwise, you could also look into "parallax mapping" where you build your maps in an art program like Photoshop and import them into your project as background images.

These are really nice indeed, there might just be a bit too much of a shadow under the parasol in my opinion. Aside from that these look like they'd fit right in with the RTP. Great work.

The parasol is only thing that sticks out at me as wrong, but it might be the angle and the shadow, or just the angle, I dunno. Still nice resource luna.

The parasol's perspective seems a little bit wrong, as it appears at more of an angled view as oppose to the overhead view that VX tiles tend to have.

About the buildings, the only thing that is bugging me a little is that the roof tiles seem sort of flat. I say if you add just a little (maybe one pixel) bit of overlap along the edges of the roof over the beam, it would look better.

Other than that, I love your stuff.

There are small mistakes above the parasols, the perspective is a bit off too compared to other objects like the tables.


But overall very nice looking.

It might help if I mention that the reference for the parasol is more along the lines of a chinese paper parasol -which is nearly flat when opened. This is different from the dome-shaped umbrella that you might be used to seeing.

I'm not sure what error is circled in your post, heisenman. If you're referring to a darker line, it's the outline of the purple portion of the parasol, and only really obvious because of the white section to its left.

Although I love the work done on that, and all the pieces, the fortune tent really puts me off, its just wrong in my eyes. The amount of signs you did aswell is awesome. Saves a lot of people hassle. Personally I'd use them in conjunction with a floating arrow to show entrances to new new areas.

Good work, keep it up.

EDIT:
As for the tent if you kept the front and just worked on rounding it around the red frame, it should look better. I purposefully haven't made it a perfect circle (Ratio of 1:0.5) as VX has a weird perspective.
