That is really awesome Ember, you've got a fairly good grasp on texturing. The only thing that seems off is the white text on the left side. It looks out of place and actually looks typed in. With the resolution it can be hard to get that right, so it's understandable. I'm thinking a bit of noise to the text will help it.

Alright well I wanted to try out Z-Brush.. so I did. I made some stone blocks and fashioned them into an archway.

On the left we have the low poly blocks, which look like balls warmed over. On the right is the stones with the normal map I got from baking the high poly zbrush sculpts onto the low poly blocks using xNormals, using the ambient occlusion as the diffuse.

In other words THE OTHER BLOCKS ARE JUST AS LOW-POLY YET RETAIN THE DETAIL OF THE HIGH POLY BLOCKS BECAUSE SCIENCE

Ps these are just screenshots from maya (ie not good quality) because my marmoset trial ran out and I should probably just buy it since its only $50

edit;

here, textured properly and more structurally logical;

I'll upload a marmoset render tomorrow because I can use it at tafe.

I started learning at the beginning of 2010 but I've been using photoshop since like 2004 and it was pretty handy to have that as a backbone for texturing.
