Yes, that helps a lot, thank you for answering my question! :3
When I read "what each key will do" I was thinking something entirely different, thank you for giving the example. Helped me understand what it was
My brothers would love the Xbox feature. I forget which, but they like one of the makers that imports it to the system. Seem to love that system...
I can't wait to be able to use it. xD
No problem magi, always happy to explain thins, and answer any questions you or anyone else may have.
you'll have to send me a PM explaining that feature more, i dont quite get it xD

It's definetely awesome project, but why your website is down? And if your engine is developed to Windows, why I can't run it?
anyway, you are god!
Why thanks, our site is down mainly due to a server problem, or a problem with our current host, hopefully it should be up soon Ill be developing the engine on Windows first, then for Linux, and what do you mean you can't rn i, its not avalible yet..
yea, i was wondering what was going on over here. I thought the project had been dumped. :/
Postie Updates! :3
yeah sorry about that, its been hard to keep this updated as i have o internet at home at the moment. but i shall post updates as soon as i can.

first time i've read about this engine and i'm amazed. Importing rmxp games and export them to xbox360 is like a dream comming true! (if this is allowed)
Ports to the xbox360 seems to be the only console to port to currently as i cant get the SDK's for other consoles unfortunatly.

Nice to see this continuing and being worked on, Legacy! :33 It still looks amazing, and the updates at the blog sound great!
May I ask -- if it can be explained --, what does "- Input Core" have in it? Like how you defined what's in the Graphics Core?
Thanks Magi, well, the input core is the core area for input functions, this holds keyboard keys values, and what each key will do. So for example, if you wanted to switch from using the arrows to move the player, you can set custom keys to move the character instead. It will also have functions for game pads, such as the xbox 360 controller. Does that help?
Wii's SDK is heavily available so is the PS3, the wii's sdk is free of course while the ps3 sdk is available to anyone it's still 10 grand.

yeah, i do admit, i did prefer Thunderstorm. But i wanted something that i liked a little bit more, and something that seemed professional.
As for updates, I've started a blog about general programing, but ill be blogging about the work i do on the Enigma Engine, I only just started it up so there's not a lot of content. Be if your interested in this project, be sure to keep an eye on the blog
This is really awesome! I thought I commented before but I guess not. By the way... Can the "Enigma" Engine be downloaded for testing? To see how easy or hard it is to use? I would like that...
EDIT: I notice that in your screenshots it says it's called the Legacy Engine... Do you like that better?

I'm also debating weather or not im going to make this an open-source project to begin with. but i guess, ill think about that a little more. if you want to check any updates that i havent posted here, there is a link to my blog on the first post, that should be updated pretty regularly.

Well got a couple of updates, and a screen shot of the engine in motion
First update; Lua script Engine.
A fully function script engine has been embedded into Engima. scripts are loaded at run-time from the "Data/Assets/scripts" folder, so you can have a little more control over what your game does. Lua will also be used for plug-ins, therefore you'll be able to create your own plug-ins for the editor.
Second Update; Milkshape 3D model support.
Milkshape 3D is a Shareware low polygon 3D modelling program. Used in games like Half-Life, Blockland and The Sims. By adding support for this model format, you can insert new models into the "Data/Assets/models" folder, and easily import models into your game.
Screenshot - Lua script Engine and MS3D Model Support.
Awesome update, Legacy! I really like the 3d model update, very nice. As well as the plugins and script engine. And the screenshot looks nice too!
I don't remember if I asked this before, but will you give out a estimated PC requirements soon? The reason I ask is because the screenshot looks like its going to require a really good graphics card and a lot of space. Oh, and another. Will you be able to build models out of the engine and import them? Or maybe add textures to them? Say you wanted, for an example, a box with grass texture over it. Could this be done? :33
Thanks for sharing the update with us, Legacy! It looks great!

I should keep my eye on this. This industry does have a lack of good online compatible game engines.
Unity offers some pretty decent online functionality. but hopefully this engine will make online functions easier.

Thanks Magi im glad you like the new updates, i'll try to post some new screens when i can, hopefully of the particle engine. which im trying to get to render around 200k particles at once with minimal to no lag at all

Im not sure if you did ask about that actually. But i'll try and get some requirements worked out soon. but ill do a minimal requirement shortly. You will be able to build models out of the engine, and use the import function to import them into the Asset manager, you can use Blender, MAYA, 3ds Max and Milkshape 3D. And you'll be able to use textures that you've imported to the asset manager on the 3D models., and yes your example can easily be done :33

Thanks for sharing the update with us, Legacy! It looks great!
No problem at all, ill be posting quite a few updates over the next few weeks, as i've been working solid on this project.
As to Magi's request im going to post a minimal PC requirements Currently;
OS: Microsoft® Windows® XP/Vista/7 (64-bit OS is NOT currently supported.) CPU: Intel Celeron @ 2.00GHz or faster RAM: Minimum 512MB (2GB or more recommended) HDD: Minimum free space of 100MB Video Card: Minimum resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels and a video card with at least 128MB video memory
If you have any questions feel free to ask, ill try to answer any questions you may have.
Looks pretty cool, however enigma has been used countless time as a game engine try to be a tad more original. I know Gem Engine hasn't been used.
Ruby or Python would be a better choice for scripting languages and they're cross platform, I'd also recommend coding the engine in C++ so the engine itself could be used on any platform(Linux, Mac, Windows, etc) Don't just limit the engine to windows.

Enigma may not be original, but hey, cant help that. Ruby will be embedded alongside Lua when i get the chance the engine currently is already being coded in C++, but thankyou for your input.
