lol well I just got done with a semi-realism art of one of the characters in RE:Incarnation, imo my favorite person, Kureha Kamishiro. Yes she's my avy. XD although something's wrong with the eyes, so I need to go back and correct.

A total of a week worked on this So steal and you die.



If possible I need someone to redline what's wrong with the eyes.

They look like they're too small and the "left" (her left!) eye is not angled properly and is slightly higher than it should be.

Unless she's giving "The People's Eyebrow", her eyebrows will need some work too.

... Go with one or the other. I say go with bigger eyes because it's a female character.

And the face could be a little less long. You don't want to give her a Sarah Jessica Parker look.

on reflection its probably just it looks unatural because of the hair being pushed farward add a bit of shoter hair with a transaction

1 - "On reflection": I think (s)he means they reviewed their own post and were making corrections.

2 - "transaction": Transition, perhaps. I think it was meant to convey a sense of seamlessly integrating short hair.

Yeah... the hair coming around from the top of the head (the hair that goes across the face) should be a little more lifted. It looks kinda off the way it's in the same line as the hair falling straight down. Something like that.

What they're saying about the hair is basically what I was trying to convey the other night when I talked to you about it through my phone. The best thing to do is look at her hair in both your avvie and your sprite--it changes direction and has layers. The realism pic doesn't have that. Also... and next time we're both on MSN, I'll send you a picture showing the exact location of the hair I'm talking about... but unless Kureha is using a massively theatrical amount of hairspray and lifter/mouse, the highest part of the hair is going to start falling down over the rest of the bangs... and I think you took too long to make the hair start falling. Unless it's INCREDIBLY thick hair... in which case, I feel badly for Kureha 'cause she's gotta have INTENSE back problems. My hair's not that thick and it weighs a pound per inch!

As for the sprite... umm... stop making me envy you, please. Really. Your skill is phenomenal and RIDICULOUS.

Wow, I really love the sprite art going on there Hirei. You're modest, as always. This is what happens when I'm away for more than a week. >< And I agree with Nommy there, criticism is an excellent way of improving one's art. He did it to me as well .

Hirei, you've not SEEN my spriting. If what you just did is beginner's work... then I'm completely useless in spriting. Really... spriting's just another style of art. You're an AMAZING artist... so your version of beginner's work is like... intermediate or even adept. Mine is... well... you may not have a corner office... but you have your own office. I'm in the mail room.
