As a fellow aspiring artist I'd like to comment on your style. It's very unique and quite whimsical. I like it a lot ^^ I myself, find I swing from not having enough ideas to draw to having so many that I can't put them all on paper soon enough before they fade away like early morning fog being burned away by a hot sun.

Some lovely images there, i have to say, my favourite is probably the Red Queen. It just has so much presence and attitude. The puppeteared rabbit adds this horror, while the spiked plant creates a sense of solitude and loneliness for the queen, like she cannot be approached. Very well done. And i completely agree Sakura Phoenix, i find the exact same problem, as i'm sure any new artist does. I hate it when you feel like it's a shame when you have all these great ideas, but can't put them down onto the paper for one reason or another. dry.gif haha
Did any artist particularly inspire your unique style zestygrapefruit? Or have you just picked it up yourself sorta thing tongue.gif

Those are mighty unique pictures you got there. :3

Also as an rookie artist, I have problems getting inspired to draw something like totally awesome. Also soon gonna attend an art uni too! e.e -high fives-

I guess you can read more stories, watch movies or any tv shows , music..helps lots yanno.. also go out and just take a walk to places. Looking at anything thats interesting. Seriously theres bound to be something worth of interest outside your home.

It's hard to get inspired to draw... but just try those out. :3
I also have such a bad time getting inspired.. =A=; baad..

Thanks for all your comments guys! Very much appreciated!
And high five back to you Taikyo! =D

I totally agree with you Sakura Phoenix, inspiration and motivation are such fickle things, (currently suffering from a serious lack of both, so annoying as its my mum's birthday in a few days and I just cant seem to put pen to paper!) Although I do find scribbling to be really valuable when I do get those elusive Ideas, I always tend to have some sort of paper and pen with me, but I do always seem to loose them somehow. lol =D

And to AdamWired, I think Redd does have to be one of my fave character to draw lately, and Im glad you like her. As for inspiration for the style, I guess I cant really pin-point who has most influenced me as my style has naturally formed from years of practise and studying the works of other people. It did almost come out of the blue, and im rather pleased for that. =D

Taikyo, thanks for the tips, Reading fuels me alot but im stuck on one book atm, and just cant seem to continue with it. Maybe a new book will refresh my artistic flow and maybe go watch a few films! (Of course using my art as an excuse to go to the cinema! I still havent seen Alice in Wonderland!)

Thanx again for your comments guys, heres a little something for your kind selves-
[Show/Hide] Beauty and the Beasties~Big File~

Beauty and the many Beasts she encounters on her travels.
Each represents one of the 7 sins (I didnt use Pride), albeit a more child friendly version of them.
Left to right-
Shy
Greedy
Grumpy
Hungry
Sleepy
Friendly

If you look closely you can see Beauty in each of them, she's wearing white.

As a professional artist I can say that in my experience I've found unique artists have better careers than skilled artists. Not to say that unique artists can't be skilled, but skilled artists can not often be unique. You have a remarkable eye and an original style; there once was an artist that worked for Square co that had the same quality - you may know of Yoshitaka Amano? wink.gif

Keep up the great work. While I like all your work, I find the ones without 'outlines' to be my favorite.

Thank you very much Avarius! Im not very familiar with Yoshitaka Amano, but indeed have seen some of his stuff around the interwebs, Im feel very happy to be somewhat compared to him! =D
And I think with my digital art I should pursue the non outline style further, as clearly its popular and like you said, unique.
Thank you very much again for your comments! =D

EDIT-
Heres a new one, Also in original post!

Inspired by a dream i had a while ago...

Once again, I really enjoy looking at your style. Reminds me of something that'd make a cool illustration in a fairytale.
Do you any more wizard of oz stuff planned for the future?

Thanks again, Fairytale illustration is deffo something I want to pursue in later life. Fairytale's are just so damn fun! =D
And as for the Wizard of Oz stuff, I will be doing all of the main characters and also my version of the Emerald city. I will also hopefully be able to put up a photo of the finished Pop-up book illustration before its exhibited at college.
So yes, there's defo more to come!

Well, I must say that I'm very impressed by this art style. Pure vector work, not very common around here. I take it you use Adobe Illustrator? It's sharp, clean and simple. Really great stuff. biggrin.gif

Love Kratos, btw. And your user name.

Thank you very much for your comments! And I actually use GIMP, and with a dandy old laptop touch pad lol.. My darn tablet broke. =(
And glad you like Kratos, I don't know why I haven't ever done him before, he's a great character to draw! My username is much better then it used to be... I thought i'd go with something a little more original this time. =D

@Ereth
Thank you to too! =D And thanx for supporting Woof! too! I'm glad you like the Witch, I should have a more finalized version up soon so stay tuned! =D

I tried using GIMP myself once, but the file size that it generated was HUGE! You should try Illustrator as well. Awesome programme, it's a pity my trial expired. sad.gif

And yeah, your name is wildy original. biggrin.gif
