Right then, for those of you who were wondering where are the stuff from the the two missing weeks, i'm still gonna take a while to post them. Why? Because i'd have to go get the camera, then connect it to the PC and then upload it on Photobucket (Wich goes DURRRR when i give it over 5 images). So for now, i'll just post something i did for my upcoming RP. In it we'll have six kingdoms based each on one element and leaded by one king/queen, so here is Rascal Grim, King of the Darkness Kingdom. No, i did not make the scythe.

I think the clothes are a bit too wavy but without enough creases. The colour scheme is really good though. His legs also seem a bit too large for his body.
Don't get me wrong, it's good, but - like I said - I've seen you do better.

Heh. That is to be expected, i suppose. The other stuff i have on the previous page were all either done while following my book or they were characters i had alredy done several times before. This was a first-timer though, i just went drawing and coming up with his clothes as i went. Plus, tablets are great for colouring but regarding control pencils win big time. I understand what you're saying about the legs, although strangely enough, they have exactly three heads length as they're supposed to. o.O Nvmd, just re-measured them, yes they're too long >.>

don't sweat it I can't/couldn't draw, then for an art exam I studied profiles for a few hours everyday and for a single day my drawing of people became really good... Or acceptable at least.
It's all about continued education. You've got to keep teaching yourself and reworking yourself. You've made really good progress in the time I've been here alone, so I'm sure you'll get it all mastered soon enough
and yes, my ability to see proportions is second to none

A friend of mine is doing a chess game on Flash, and asked me to draw each of the pieces, i'm doing a male and female version for each piece (And one blue one red for each too, but that's just a color changing issue so...)

Thanks Sparrow ^^ Oh, and i'm terribly sorry about the huge delay with the model sheet thing for your Death Note game. But your character's design is refusing to cooperate with me. I have had about two attempts at it now and i'm still not satisfied.

I care!!!

I definitely like them, but if you're looking for criticism...
Norroar's centre of gravity is a bit off, he looks like he'd fall over. His shoulders also look very broad... Too broad. His eyes are also too sharp and not quite in the right place.
His left eye should be closer to his nose. He also looks quite flat, like he's just been hit by a steam-roller not sure how to fix this... Just thought I'd point it out...

The Bandit in Blue has his ears too high and his head seems a bit small, the fingers on his right hand should be more bent - currently they look like they're made of playdo, the other hand is much better by comparison.
His feet also look a little off, but I'm shit at imagining perspective so maybe I'm just seeing it wrong.

And that's all I can criticize. Everything else is just pure eye candy I would definitely say you draw still characters better than dynamic and moving characters. Don't be too ambitious with poses until you master the basics I guess.
You've made phenomenal progress in the time I've known you and I just wish I could give better advice :/ I don't do much art, and what I do do is abstract and surreal...
let's hope Homu pays you a visit she is the art expert

Regarding Norroar. Yeaaaaaaaaaahhhhh...I've only recently started doing him using an open coat as a cape so i'm yet to get a few of it's details right. The flatness you mentioned could probably be fixed if i did his lines more varied from each other (Areas with less light are thicker and the ones with more light are thinner, etc.) but that's one thing i'm yet to learn how to do. >.>

Regarding Vince, the bandit. Alas, my teacher had taught me to draw the ears always being the exact size from one's eyebrow to the nose, i promptly followed. Looking through other artist's works i realized most people did the ear a bit higher than that so i went and experimented. Hands, something i thought i had dealt with are coming back to haunt me. Back when i did the hands on my art class paper i did them very big, drawing them properly when they're small is hard, though x.x His feet are probably off, i don't tend to put much details into feet so...

I like the Vincent and Norroar designs.
Vincent seems very modern with the rolled up sleeves.
Looks like he's gonna punch someone in the gut too.

I like Norroars design evolution.
Thats always something I like seeing in art topics.
I also like that use seem to use brighter colours a lot.

Yeah, one of the things i've been desperatly trying to improve in my art are my character's designs, recently i've been staring at them thinking they were waaaaay too simple. So i went and researched on the biggest data archive avaible in the know universe (AKA Fashion magazines on the stand around the street from my house.) and started making up several different costumes for all of my characters >.<

I know where you're coming from, my artwork has always been terrible but for my art exam I revised drawing techniques like crazy. To this day I can draw beautiful eyes as long as they're huge, but on the small scale they look terrible The trick is to keep researching. I found a whole load of websites that help deal with facial anatomy, and they helped me a great deal. Just because you're not being taught by your teacher doesn't mean you can't continue teaching yourself

I can see you definately have your own style. It reminds me of the Emperor's New Groove, which is a good thing. I like the background. The character's positioning seems a tad off though. It looks like he is leaning against something that isn't there. Overall, it looks good.

Wow Nicsp, I'd say that your artwork is improving quite well. =]

At first I wasn't sure if the arms were in his sleeves or not, but they are folded in front; just caught me off for a second.
Love the choice of colour - very bright and fire-esque. =D

And finally got off my lazy ass and make another picture (Even though technically i was still sitting while i drew it anyways...OH WELL.). Got all of the "main" girls of my project in a single picture! Fanservice gooooooooo!

I like it and I don't like it.
It looks incredibly good, but some of the lines seem either too bendy or too stiff (I know, that's odd).
The girl on the right seems a little... Off...
The girl on the left has odd hands.
The girl in the middle is perfect, though her hips/waist seem a little small

One of your best yet though, especially the heads. Your anatomy has come a loooong way, but there's still some room for improvement.

Haha. Thanks, and I know what you're talking about. I'm still getting used to making the lines all in one go. (Instead of doing short ones and trying to connect them each at a time.) So a few of them are bound to look a bit bendy x_x

The girl on the right may look off to you because i think her a bit too slim.

And yeah, hands are still being a pain for me >_<

Regarding the girl in the middle. Actually, Angelic-Fairy kind of had alredy warned me about that one, but i was too lazy to go fix it >_>

And hey, it's all practice. XD I mean, seriously, all i did was doodle around a bit for some time.(Although, art classes also help a bit if you want to speed up the process) And my stuff went improving. I try to make at least one picture per day, although most of them remain as sketches.
