Admin for a Day Options

What would you do (seriously speaking, no jokes) if you were made admin for a day?

Personally I'd:

• Edit the templates or css for the mainsite so that ads and banners don't break the box model
• Restyle the forums or the mainsite to match one another
• Edit the forum theme so the colours match
• Get rid of the "magi" link from the top as the site doesnt even exist any more
• Get rid of links to rpgmakervx.com - they dont link back to us!
• Get rid of "featured projects", the ones that are dead at least
• Merge "network" with "featured projects"
• Get rid of all the broken affiliates on the mainsite (do ANY of them link back to us?)
• Make affiliation more appealing (more benefits, or just easier to view them - take them out of a spoiler on the mainsite for one!)
• Affiliate with some of the larger sites (hbgames, rmrk, rpgmakervx.com)
• Create a "sponsor" status that doesn't have to see all the ads around the place
• Change the cracks policy or get rid of the download links to cracked programs (we're hosting RM2k/RM2k3 cracks!) - and no they are NOT freeware

This isn't a rant, this is a legit "what would you do" thread. Just wondered what other people would do given the chance to own the site, lol.

If I had the powers and not i entry I would do all that- we ask but we have to wait for them The main site is still yes I know still work in progress grrrrr

RpgmakerVX used to link to us good point out that - will bring it up as we already got it restored once- we are both owned by i entry.

i would like to merge Mature and General to one forum,

The network we want to affiliate in featured games and yes get rid of the old-

We have asked i entry to do some work on changing the affiliates we have a couple of new ones we want added.

The problems with the adverts are that they provide i entries revenue, and without that they can't host the forum..

Tis very very frustrating but I can keep nagging and nagging lol

The script section is easy to find in the gallery and there is a list in the script forums of all the working scripts.

I would probably merge a lot of the boards into a, more, simpler navigation because there a lot of people (like me) that have trouble finding out what is going on because this place is too damn big!

Also, I would probably fix up the main site and make it more like what RMN has. It amazes me that this place hasn't really addressed that issue, but I guess they are trying their best to fix that problem sometime down the road.

Other than mulitple board themes, I think the staff has done a excellent job on everything else (and no, I am not saying this because Kaz is viewing this topic and I am trying to suck up).

We are to a certain degree restricted by the owners- and to be fair Quehegan has started to re design the main page but it still needs a lot doing to it.

I would love to see a whole new revamp!

I have often wondered why the scripts are seperate from the maker- as in surely VX forum should be everything to do with VX including its scripting..but i am sure there is a logical reason why.

I also would prefer one discussion forum rather than mature and general- I mean you dont have to show id to get in there and sometimes a short post does make a point ...

A lot of people do not join competitions because of other things in their life and also that their own games are hard enough as it, so I can't blame anybody for not undertaking them on a regular basis.

Hmmm... Holder I would dump the scripting part of the board and just merge that with the VX and XP boards. And as for featured projects (Dracorb Legend, etc), we should probably just have a sticky in the "Full Games & Demos" part of the board (with a cool banner of course). Other then that, everything is fine.

Mature does not mean adults only. Mature means serious and intelligent. I think serious discussion definitely does need its own board.

Personally I wouldn't change much with the board. I like it as it is.

And I really don't think we are a PG13 site anyway. What with Ember, SatanBla's boob-rocket sig, Ember's games, and a few other things (especially in the Cesspool) that are NOT PG13.

I would change the theme of the site (or add another one, rather), get rid of the featured projects that are in fact dead and replace them with new ones, and get rid of all of those really, really stupid links that have been here like, forever. Specially War of the Magi. I would remove the whole top bar, actually.
If I could, I would also fire the iEntry staff cause they hardly do shit around here. But I couldn't do that, since I don't have the money to pay for this site I don't think. I'd sign us up with GoDaddy or something.

Well to be honest PG-13 is quite a high age rating on the grand scheme of things; it doesn't mean "playschool level", just just means not quite so bad as perhaps 18+. It's not trying to be family friendly, it's just saying "don't flood the place with porn or anything 13 year olds shouldn't be seeing".

iEntry run this site. RRR is on iEntry's servers.
Try running a website without a webserver. Pretty hard, eh?
