Thanks. I just thought I'd do something funny for that project.

Sorry for the double post. I need feedback on the blue fabric wall for this tileset. Does it look okay, or should I change it? And what changes should I make? Can I have the topic renamed to Ocean's bunch of stuff, or Ocean's art or something like that? Because I haven't been doing Character art lately.

Thanks, glad you liked it. I still have the cow, I don't know what to do with it.

Working on grass tiles. What do you think of it? (The tree is temporary) Can I have this thread renamed to Ocean's bunch of stuff or Ocean's art?

For the one I just posted, yes, except for the character (that was made in Charas.ex because I haven't gotten around to making him yet).
For the screens in my sig, Ever Blue and Island Dreams are custom, but Island Sky isn't.

You should try it when you get the chance. I'm sure you'll be able to make some good tilesets if you take some time trying it (I just started with pixel stuff on November). Looking at other tilesets helps a lot too. So then you could make a city that you drew.
Actually... about that. Have you ever played Sunset over Imdahl (For RPG Maker 2000 or 2003, I forget which)? The guy drew the panoramas in there, and it looks beautiful. Maybe if you like drawing but don't want to pixel, you could try something like that. There's even a bonus area in the game that shows you how he did it. I think maybe that would be a good idea, that way, you can draw the city by hand rather than by pixel.
The guy who did this used a tablet though. He says in the game that he has a grid of 16x16 pixels while he draws (I think in Photoshop. You should use 32x32 in RMXP), so that he can tell where the things should go. I'm not sure if you'd have access to a scanner, but perhaps drawing the individual elements, resizing them to fit the 16x16 (or 32x32 in RMXP) grid, and something might work. You could use a combination of panorama and making some of the elements into the upper layer of a tileset.
This would be good for a game that doesn't take place in many areas, but you can be creative with it.

A city drawn with a tablet by hand would definitely fit the atmosphere you want for your game.

Triple post. Seems like the arts/literature section has kinda been ignored, so I decided to update this. Actually, that's not the reason, I just wanted to draw a character for my game (I would have used Facesets, but seeing Homu's drawings, I decided to do a full character instead). What do you think of it? Please let me know of any mistakes, I'd like to fix it up before I color it.

Nice! The head looks a wee bit squished, and the fingers on her right hand are a tad awkward, but it's not much. Overall, I say that's quite nice - better than I could do (although that's not saying too much )

Thanks for the feedback. I want to draw the main characters for Azulea (my project), so that should be 4 characters. If I have time, I should do at least the facesets for the other characters, the less important ones.
Well, back to work. Can't wait for spring break.
Oh, if you're wondering why she doesn't have much clothes on, it's because it's an Island setting, and it's not modern.
