I decided to remake an old screen of mine today.
This is from Ever Blue, a project I did in 2005. My first pixel art project.

170+ colors.

This is my remake.

28 colors.

It's only going to be a mockup though, I don't have the time to be remaking the game. And I wouldn't use RPG Maker for that.

The remake looks much cleaner, that's for sure.

Nice work, Oceans. Is this game something similar to Paridus?

Actually, the game Ever Blue isn't really like it because I didn't have much time to do it and it's not very well done. But I've been playing Parodius during that time frame, and even looked up some pics for reference for this new one!

It just came up on the top of my head, being that you seem to play as an alien flying saucer shooting flying goldfish in a tropical setting. That weird surrealism is what drove me assume you were basing this off of Parodius. What engine do you plan on using?

These 4 are based on the Bahamut Lagoon battle characters. I've always wanted to give the style a try.


A simple sky, there was more to this image but I'm not gonna show it as it was commissioned.


A background since I didn't really want to use the Bahamut Lagoon rips straight even just for the mockup.


And the mockup. Menu was stolen from BL because of laziness.

Haha, thanks! I'm pretty sure my friend uses Paintshop pro, I haven't used it myself though so I can't give any help on that. I just stick with Character Maker for the most part.

ah that's what i meant, the non-pixel ones that were kinda CG or whatever the term is, i'd know it if i did them, i envy my sib who can.
I was trying to fathom how someone could do those on charactermaker.
