posting downloads Options

I'm not new to making RPG's but I'm very new to posting games online. Now I uploaded my game to both Megaupload and Rapidshare, so I have both to chose from. But I try to post my game on here but it wont let me. It says to write the link down in the section marked "download URL" but I don't see that section at all. Overall, I'm just getting confused here. So I was wondering if anyone could tell me or perhaps put me in the right direction of the information that I need.

Ok now that you have uploaded your .rar, .exe, .zip etc file onto both site it is VERY easy to get the download link, if you could post the URL (text that shows up in the top bar when you are on your file's page) i would be able to retrieve it for you quite easily

To save you time I will make an example of Megaupload.com I have used the AVATAR HD TRAILER as my example (because Avatar ownz!!!)

Moving Along...

Ok, now go to your download page (should look something like below)



Now this page shows whats known as an indirect link, the 'URL' in the red ellipse (circle lookin' thing)
You can use this text as the download link this redirects the user to MegaUpload.com.

Indirect link for AVATAR HD TRAILER is as follows:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XKSWQV9M

You're better off using mediafire because it i) doesn't have a download time or limit and ii) is generally faster than most P2P sites.

When you want to post a download link simply:

[Show/Hide] Mediafire made easy!

1. Direct your browser to http://www.mediafire.com/.
2. Click UPLOAD to MediaFire.
3. Upload your files by following the instructions given.

4. When your file has uploaded, you'll be redirected to My Files.
5. Click Copy Link beside Sharing URL or select the text and copy (ctrl + c).

6. When posting a link for a thread/post on RRR, click the button right to the emoticons (Insert Link).
7. Input the Share Link Mediafire gave you.
8. Give the link a name like link.
9. Profit .
