I've started receiving spam emails from ientry. The only place I've been that is associated with ientry is RRR, which means ientry have used my email address from this forum to add me to their mailing list. This is unsolicited and I certainly wasn't asked if I wanted to join a mailing list upon registering here. (Mainly because, as far as I know, I registered here BEFORE the ientry takeover)

Can anyone confirm this?

Greetings iEntry Gamers!

The new Modern Warfare 2 Forum is almost to our 1 month mark and as
a way to say thanks to all of our current and new members we wanted

the members of our various gamer communities and invite them over.

We are going to choose 3 names at random from this thread on Friday
December 11th and the lucky winners get an extra present right before
the holidays. Each of the selected winners will receive an XBox, PS3
or Wii title of their choice. (just 'normal' titles here guys - no
crazy package things)

Entering our little contest is easy as pie, just leave us a hello
in this thread: http://aj.600z.com/aj/82180/0/cc?z=1&b=82178&c=82179

Make sure to check back Friday to see who the winners are.

yea i've seen quite a few people around before who have complained that ientry have added them to mailing lists and not removed them upon request, and i'm not just talking about this site.

it would also be more professional for ientry to not shrink their links.

Ah, didn't notice the unsubscribe link. I sent the email. All the same these things should be OPT IN not OPT OUT especially when they have nothing to do with this site.

I checked up and the email was sent to my @vengeance-rpg .com email address - I only use this email for RPG Maker sites as I know it won't end up with spam like this. (So it's definately from here or rpgmakervx)

I am sorry every about the emails. We had a problem with our email system and it send a large number of emails out. I took our email server down and corrected the problem.

If you would like us to remove your email address from your database you can send an email to support@ientry.com with Unsubscribe as the subject and you will be removed asap.

Once again We are very sorry about this. We have corrected the issue and it should not happen again.

As for the gamer channel email I will try to have everyone on the site removed.

======================================================================

Deliverability has always been a concern for email marketers, but the
constantly changing landscape makes it even harder to ensure great
delivery of your email campaigns. How do you keep current on changes
to ISPs, ESPs, legislation, opt-in, open rates, click rates and
opt-out? What are the latest best practices? Do you know fact vs.
fiction when it comes to email deliverability? Do you know your own
deliverability rate?

Spend a worthwhile hour with renowned email deliverability guru David
Fowler, who will answer the following questions:

* What's important about the new Yahoo, Comcast and Roadrunner
feedback loops?
* How do recent updates to the CAN-SPAM Act impact your email
deliverability?
* What is the new definition of spam, and why should you care?
* Why are good permission methods no longer good enough?
* How does search engine marketing play into the deliverability of
email?

Presenter:
David Fowler
Global Director of Deliverability, Email Strategy and Privacy
Compliance Lyris, Inc.

David has over 20 years of marketing experience, with the last six
years focused on the issues associated with email marketing,
deliverability and privacy compliance. He is a seasoned speaker and
email deliverability consultant with notable national and international
engagements.

David will separate what's myth from what's true when it comes to
email deliverability and provide actionable steps you can employ
right away to increase the likelihood of your email making it to the
inbox. A Q&A session will follow his presentation.

As a special bonus, all Webinar attendees will receive a free
deliverability how-to guide- a perfect takeaway and companion to the
Webinar presentation that will empower you to take control of your
email deliverability.

Yes, yes, I know, I can unsubscribe (and have - note AGAIN). But I shouldn't have been subscribed in the first place.

This is the second one this month; first went to spam and I didn't notice.
