"Project DOAD is a simple action based fangame. It has elements of RPGs, but it really isn't much of one. All possible details are explained in the in game tutorial."

~~~ Story ~~~

It is the morning after a relatively wild party at the Hakurei Shrine last night, in which the resident oni, Suika Ibuki had just a bit too much to drink. Suika wakes up with a killer headache and a upset stomach, but remembers that she has errands to run for a friend. She goes to retrieve her trusty gourd. One of which holds an infinite amount of sake...

...Only to find that her gourd is missing. This wakes her up more than any medicine or alarm clock ever could. Now in a panic with nearly all rational thought nonexistant, Suika rushes off to find her precious gourd. Hilarity ensues.

- Play the tutorial stage, seriously. :|
- Graze is your friend.
- Don't forget that you have a charge attack
- For stages 4 and 5...think 'pots and pillars'

I would have been all over this had you advertised via topic description it was a Touhou fangame. Or, all over this earlier, anyway.

As it is a tiny part of me nerdrages over "Touhou is not an anime" misinterpretability XD

Haha, well I of all people know that touhou is not an anime. I was referring to the derogatory term for anime/manga style that people like to use. Ah well, I changed the topic description anyway.

It's a game series, mostly of bullet hell shooters made by a guy named Zun.

OK so I played the game and it blew me away, great ABS, great mapping, great handling of the scenes and of course awesome spriting/art.

Standing animations for sprites? Brilliant! :V

Anyways I had a fun time comboing fairies and blowing up the forest until marissa(sp?) kicked my ass so hard I was wondering if I myself should look for MY gourd to drown my pain in alcohol. :V
God I suck at action based games...

This game is most def. a challenge, especially if you're me considering I died once during the tutorial. lol

But one things for certain, this game is fun no matter how many times a fairy weakens or poisons you and you wonder where the hell 400 of your HP just went cuz you hit A for defend instead of Z err I digress

Challenging, fun, indepth, eye candy, different, alcohol is what I meant to say. :V

Don't think those damn fairies will let you get away with just spamming your combo..

@Despite: Thanks for playing. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Though, the thought of you being stuck on the stage 1 boss boggles my mind. She's supposed to be easy, along with the stage 2 boss! The game doesn't start messing with you till stage 3. :U

WOW joining this site is harder then the game lol.

But Ya ... I would like to thank you for making this game, I enjoyed it all day long, this was really good. The art the music the well everything was good, I love the story fun to get drunk too lol. I ran into this buy searching home made RPGs on the internet and this was a good find for me. Trust me ppl this game is very hard, I died in the tutorial lol. But I just beaten the game within an hour and I had tons of fun doing it.

The Strategy is:
Save your big spell for the main bosses of the stage.
Don't use to much of the cards magic ... save for main boss of stage.
The Final boss is the easiest.
Save to multiple files just in case you are low on card magic.

This game was a good play ... and I thank the creator for making this ... I had fun getting drunk and playing this game lol.
