You can give me a reference pic, or character details, and I'll do it. If you want you can tell me the pose you want, otherwise I'll pick a pose. This one comes with transparent background.

Large sprite:

You can give me a reference pic or character detail for this. It's up to you if you want a specific pose or if you'll leave me to think of it. This is over a white background.

Tiles:
$1 per 16x16 tile
$2 per 32x32 tile
Examples:



They can also be object requests like a vase, tree or something, again it's based on the tile size so if it's 2 tiles big, it'll be $2 or $4 depending.

Sprite template:
$2 per frame if 24x32
$3 per frame if 48x48
Example:


Drawing on an existing template:
$1.50 per frame if 24x32
$2.25 per frame if 48x48

Icons:
$.50 each

While I won't do this often, I *may* in some instances raise the price if the request is complex.

I thought it was reasonable. I was checking other peoples prices on DA before. What I do is calculate how long something will take, estimate what I'd get per hour standard, then reduce the price from there. What did you have in mind? I didn't want to do something like $4 for a large sprite, because that's severely underestimating the time and effort that goes into this.

Personally Ocean I think your asking price is reasonable. I mean I have done comissions in the past myself and had severally undercharged for all the time and effort I put in artwork. (think five dollars for linearts or 10 to 15 for colorwork) And then dealing with fixing the little fixes that the asker wants fixed on top of that and other revisions to make it perfect. In the end it wasn't worth charging so little for so much. Imagine doing four linearts in full detail and spending over an hour per lineart only to make $20.00USD. So yes I think your pricing isn't bad at all.

the pricing is actually, very gracious. seriously, people don't realize the effort and work put into art and pixel work. they just assume you can crank it out like a robot or something. the fact is, people most likely aren't going to finish their game, so asking people to create content for them free of charge is ridiculous.

the fact is, rpgmaker is pushing more towards commercial, so there will just be more and more artists for hire. which is good.

ocean dream has his own style, which should be an extra selling point. ocean needs to buy ramen people -_-

I guess as far as commission work goes it's fairly decent. I've never done any of that, so I wouldn't know. It's still WAAAAY outta my price range, for someone who's going to school and working part time in order for me to get 4 frame character animation, it'd take a whole pay check o.O

Thanks guys! It's pretty hard to set good prices as it's the first time I've been doing it.

I haven't posted prices for animation or anything, I'm going to do that later tonight, along with some other things like say tiles and stuff. But no it won't be a whole paycheck for a 4 frame animation, I assure you.
