Hello, citizens of RRR. I just got some free time and I wanted to promote my skills on a more populated community site that focuses around rm design. I am an artist of sorts, looking to join a team for small commission work.

If you're interested in what kind of stuff I can do, please take a look at some of my material. In fact, you can find it all over my Blog. So, please take a look if you're curious.

If that perks your interest I can direct you to the job section.

As far as experience and references go, I have been in the RM community for over 6 years and have produced and finished various games I won't need to really promote here. I've worked on a variety of custom games as well.

So, if you're interested in any of this, give me a hollar through here. I will def check for a few weeks.

Well, you have to think to yourself if my style would work accordingly to your project.

Anyway, I can:

Sprite(characters, monsters, etc)
Concept art for both characters and monsters
Inked art
Face image art
Cutscene Art(if you check the blog there is a link to the videos that show an example of this)

But yes, it all depends on you, and what you need. I need to remind people that I am working for small commission too. Hence why it's in pink.

As 'in pink' as it may be, it's pretty vague, how about stating specifically the commission you are requesting? Perhaps your lack of clarity is one reason so many flaky people have emailed you.

I guess people can go to your blog and see the "I will seriously work for: Belts, T-Shirts, Sunglasses", but that's not in this thread and I'm not sure how serious people think you're being being about them going clothes and accessory shopping for you in exchange for your art.

Commission is basically paying for the artwork. The price is cheap too, I guess you can negotiate that. I guess it'd be a good idea to put in a general price there so people can see. But yeah you can pay him in sunglasses and stuff too.

For an example of what he's done, most of the enemy sprites in Paradise Blue are based on his concept art. I'll link a few:





Concept art. There are colored ones too but I didn't need them all to be colored, I just wanted the design to use for the sprites.

He gets stuff done, so it's not like he'll make 2 drawings and then never be heard from again.

lol, RRR always delivers. i am sorry if the concept of small commission work is mind blowing here.

and the reason so many people have been flakey here is they're neglecting to read that it's paid work or do not understand what it means. they aren't flakey because they ask me "heh, wow, belts, huh? i don't know..." it's more "will you work on my rpgmaker game for free"

i seriously don't understand how any of this is vague at all. i have worked for people on GW, RMN, etc, and never had this problem. i will construct various diagrams in the future and perhaps a pie graph.

Vague: Not clearly expressed; inexplicit. I was at no point saying or implying that people were saying "heh, wow, belts, huh? i don't know...", my point is that you're not explicitly stating anything. An example of a clearer post might read that 'one dollar equals one drawing'. Not reading doesn't surprise me however.

"I will seriously work for: Belts, T-Shirts, Sunglasses" is vague. Not only are these items not of a set value, but their value is unknown in terms of what people will get for this payment. Is it five pieces of concept art for a belt? Is it that you do ten to twelve drawings and then they send you some stuff they see in a store somewhere? Is it completely varied and based on 'an item for every ten hours I work for'.

hey, bro, i am glad you're droning on about something "incredibly" trivial that i threw on my blog. i don't put up solid prices, because it depends on the person and the amount of work, guy. it's subjective, alright? can you seriously drop it.

if someone is serious, they will pm me and discuss pricing. not look at a blog and go WELP 5 DOLLAR SPRITES ALRIGHT! haha, seriously dude. I bend prices accordingly so i don't rip off people.

i love how you can go to every other semi-indie community on the web and they will understand the simple dyanmics of commission work, but when it is rrr they don't get it unless you have a shota image on your avatar.

You shouldn't let a few people discourage you because they don't understand your method of pricing.
Saying that, I really enjoy looking at your artstyle, it's very unique.

EDIT: Nor should you group everyone at RRR into one lump because of a few people, that's just my opinon anyway.

I think its fine to get paid for it, I just didn't know what a commission was because someone said sunglasses and whatnot.


Hope it works out for ya, as for me I gotta go the free artist route seeing as I dont wanna spend money on a free game I'll be distributing.

Actually, I was really only trying to get some idea of scale to be honest, we are an international community after all, but thanks, bro, for being so very helpful and polite. I apologise if I wasn't clear in getting across what I was trying to say originally.

It seems to have taken five posts to say something like "prices are relatively subjective, contact me if you'd like to discuss specifics", that's all needed to be said.

Can you do battle sprites?

I may have some work for you, but I have to see what you can do.

It's not going to be made using RMXP/VX but it will use 32-bit graphics.

You would have to PM me the details. I am capable of doing battle sprites, but those types of sprite work tend to be on the more expensive side considering the sizing, animations, etc.

Anyway, I'm currently available to work on a project for small commission. I try not to work on 10 different projects.
