Greetings! Yeah... So I've been a member for close to 2 years, but I never really got around to making an introduction topic I'm a dorky little 13(soon to be 14)-year-old kid (about to be)in 8th grade. I consider myself to be pretty mature for my age, but that's just my opinion. I try to help people as much as I can. I figure I might as well make the world a nicer place, one step at a time I generally don't talk that much, and I'm quite soft-spoken. I'm like that kid who's always just standing around in the corner, looking depressed. I run cross-country (long distance) at my school, and I play Trumpet in the Jazz Band. I play piano occasionally, though I don't perform or anything, it's just something I like to do when I'm bored. So, yeah, my life was pretty good; I was healthy, I had good grades, and a great family. Now, although I'm using the past tense, I still have good grades and an amazing family . It was the day before New Year's Eve when my life took a dive. I was sledding, having a great time up in flagstaff(it's in northern Arizona). It was overall a pretty great day. Then I went sledding on what I have now decided must have served as stairs, so people didn't have to walk around to the other side of the slope to get up. My glasses fell of(never to be found again), and I later(a few weeks) found out I had a concussion. I was having pretty bad headaches for a couple weeks after the incident, then on January 8th or so I went half blind(and when I say half, I mean I couldn't see anything to my left), so my mom took me to the ER, and it was decided that I had a concussion. This was not the first concussion I had ever had. I had one when I was 5 (give or take a few years, I don't remember) when I was at the Seaquarium in Florida, but that didn't cause any lasting symptoms. I was blind for a couple hours, but I could see fine not too long after it. Anyway, back to the recent concussion! So, that ER was pretty useless, basically the people there just said it would go away after a while and there was nothing they could do. About a week later it happened again, so we went to a different ER this time. Similar stuff happened, but they scheduled me for an MRI this time. They didn't see anything wrong with my head. So, a while later my headaches started getting worse and worse. I was getting 20-30 5 minute migraines... Every Day. I also began to have extreme photo-phobia(light-induced eye pain) constantly. Finally, in late March I got some clip-on sunglasses(I wear glasses), of course, this led to much dislike of me. After all, why would someone where sunglasses while inside, other than to seem cool? It was very bothersome, to say the least. Eventually, the neurologist that I had been seeing every time I went to the ER decided maybe I should try a medication. It did lower my headache count, and my photo-phobia was getting better, but unfortunately it caused me to have 2-3 hour long bouts of paralyzation pretty much every other day. So, about 4 days after the first time it happened, I got admitted to the hospital. It happened to be Standardized Testing week (AIMS, where I live). So, I was gone for the week, I got an MRI of my spine(notice my avatar), and some other tests done on my while I was there. After a couple days they released me. It just so happened that that was the pretty late at night the day before the last day of testing. I don't know if you have been in a hospital, but it's really hard to sleep. So, I wasn't going to go to school that day, but I started feeling better later, so I went in during lunch. It happened that the testing was before lunch. So, it seemed like I skipped school just when testing was going on. So, a couple days later it happened again, the paralyzation thing. My mom and I went back to the ER and I got a Lumbar Puncture. That's where doctors take spinal fluids from your Lumbar(lower spine). Of course, it came out normal. So, it was decided that the medication was the cause, so I stopped taking it. A month or two later I had an appointment with a new neurologist. He said that he knew of some other medications that might work. It was a couple weeks ago that I started taking the medication. It didn't really start working until last Monday. That was one of the happiest days I have had in a long time. I was finally able to run again, without any headaches. My headache count has been steadily decreasing every day since. Of course, everything has a down side. Normally, I would sleep about 8 hours, waking up at about 7. I've been sleeping into about 9:30 all week, and today I slept in until 11:00, then fell back asleep an hour later. Yes, I'm getting a lot more sleep, but I'm a lot more sleepy during the day. Unfortunately, school starts on Friday, so I'm debating whether or not to lower the dose I'm taking. All in all, my headaches have gotten better, even if it did take 7 months... Stepmania is basically DDR, for computer. I was obsessed with it for a good portion of 2008. Great community, fun game, amazing music. I just kind of got bored of it last year when school started. Runescape, a highly popular MMORPG. I wasted 2 years of my life, playing it constantly. I also wasted a ton of money as a paying Member. I don't know why I enjoyed it so much. Maybe it was because all of my friends played and I wanted to fit in. Maybe it was because I could talk to my friends, and do something that gave me minor enjoyment at the same time. As time went on, I became more and more obsessed with it. I never stopped playing it. It controlled me. Finally, my mother stepped in and talked some sense into me. I started thinking, really thinking. I had a new view on life. I realized that wasting my time playing runescape and getting level 99 of every skill was pointless. What good would it do me? I realized why I was in school. I wanted to learn! I wanted to know everything I could. That's when I really started caring about important things. It was pretty good timing, because that was when I was in sixth grade, and I changed schools for 7th grade. I'm about to start 8th grade at a pretty good school close to where I live. It's got very good academics, it's good for arts, and the sports are pretty good. Honestly, I'm quite content with my life(aside from the migraines, that is). So, my brother first showed me RPG Maker 2003 in early 2008. I thought it was cool, but he was a lot more into it than I was. Occasionally I'd watch him play The Way, A Blurred Line, and some other games. Eventually I decided to try it out. I made a really bad game with it. My game was about some guy name 'Oerh' who woke up on an island and climbed down into a little cave that teleported him around and a bunch of random things. Eventually he meets up with a ninja name Janin and a samurai named Ramusai. Talk about your original names, eh? So, the Ninja explains that there's some king jerk that's ruining everything because of his ignorance. So they conjure a giant ship with a bunch of merchants on it and sail off to the continent where the king resides. They go to the castle, and then they all get thrown in jail. They find a secret passage and break out into the hallway. They find a couple massacred guards then see a small hole in the floor that leads to a giant underground lava-city. They join forces with the lava-king and attack the royal town. This is where I stopped making this abomination and started a game that my brother and our friend made the story for. They were the writers, and I was everything else. I made some progress on that game, and eventually I discovered RPG Maker VX. I got it and messed around with it here and then. Eventually I decided to re-make(and greatly improve) the game about a hero named Oerh. I kept the basic storyline, but tried to make things make a little more sense. It was shortly after I started it that I discovered scripts. I downloaded sooo many. I had like half the scripts on the site. Yeah, I know, bad, but I didn't know much about it at this point. After a while, I got bored with it. I decided to start making The Rogues in VX. The Rogues was something that my brother, our friend and I used to make up when we were little. After a while my brother stopped supplying me with story. I could go on no longer without his story-writing abilities. Then I came up with a great idea! A kid that is secretly royalty and then goes to the castle to question the king, and gets thrown in jail on an island. He breaks out, and finds an old hermit. I didn't really realize how cliche it was until I had begun creating Keai's Quest Part 2: A Sky Forever Darkened ...I don't event know what that means, but it sounded cool. I never really made any progress on the second part. Finally I decided to create a game that I would take seriously and use everything I knew to make it good. Veru, I called it. I don't know where I came up with that, but it sounded kind of cool. It was about a girl who is part of a gang of thieves. I didn't really get past that. However this game is what caused me to start getting interested in Ruby scripting. I started modifying scripts to suit my needs. Eventually I just completely dropped making games and started helping other people who knew less about scripts than me. Granted, I wasn't much help, but I had fun trying... Anyway eventually I found a request for a song-playing script. The person wanted something like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I'm sure you've all heard of that game... who hasn't?? Anyway Twilight1300 discovered it and pretty soon I was the official scripter for "The Legend of Zelda: Realm of the Gods." I'm still scripting for it in fact... A couple weeks ago I decided to start making my own game. I took into account everything I've learned. How to make it not cliche, and keep it interesting. The game is progressing quite slowly, and I'm not sure it's going to be finished anytime soon. I work on it a bit every day now, but not much progress is being made :\ **If you want me to upload any of my crappy projects, just ask** ...so there you have it. A mini-biography of me. Again, I have been quite active here for about 7 months now, and I joined a year or two ago, but I never really formally introduced my self. ~Miget man12

I was just really bored over the summer... I can't survive without school!:D But I really should start posting in other places... Hm...
Also, from now on, you will be known as migraine to me, because: a) you offered it. b) migraines are annoying and your title is "pretty good at being annoying" :D
