I actually lurked here and posted my game here a few times to see what the general mood is around here. So far, it's pretty bad. Like, most people here seem to have this mental complex about post count, which in return you probably need to learn how the internet works or go outside since there are less pixels.

Additionally, I've came across a lot of one liners, and really awful opinions about things here.

My name is Tom Nook, I decided to give this place a chance, I have a blog about my game you should check it out if you're interested here. I work in affiliate marketing, which means I make a lot of money by doing nothing. I've been in the rpgmaker scene a lot longer than you guys probably have. I've won a few awards and got interviewed a few times in the rm scene.

I'm still pretty indifferent on this place because, it's really kiddy compared to other places like RMN or GW. The fact that people rack you about post count leads me to believe everyone here has the brain power of a 10 year old, so we'll see! It's like the christian community of rm, which is pretty accurate considering it seems like religious weirdos and rrr members come off as equally oblivious!
But, my opinion might change who knows.

#RRR is pretty chill though, so that's a plus.

Well welcome, though that did come across rather negative for a introduction post.
Unfortunately you or anyone else can't decide the opinions of others, yeah you may not agree with them but it is theirs to have and like myself there's others that have been using RM since the first days of Don Miguel.

I'll not go further as I'm not really the one for kicking up a fuss over minor things.

Anyway hope you chat and get to know everyone and rethink some of your views especially the 'kiddy' part, who knows you may actually learn something.

EDIT: If you've been on the scene to have known him (Wiz) previously then history repeated itself (Almost.)

Even though you may think of it as "kiddy" that's pretty much the reason why I've stayed here, and was even motivated enough to be a mod hear. I wouldn't call this place "kiddy" so much as it is a relatively friendly community, and you have to start shit with us before we start with you. Why is it like this? Why not have it like this is a better question.

In addition, I've only seen a few people who belittle others due to post count. Most of us are quite mature, despite how we goof off from time to time in the Cesspool.

Come on, guys. While I like this place, I find myself agreeing with him. Face it, this place isn't the most mature website, especially among the other RM communities. Perhaps consider the possibility that his criticism may be correct, and look at RRR and improve it?

Yeah I faced it, it's not the most mature website around, that's why there are other mature rm sites you can visit.

I also don't see it as a problem, we keep our demographics, you keep yours, it's a deal.

Well, considering this is a community centered around game design, you have to take into account how "mature" we'd be able to make ourselves. And I wouldn't necessarily say catering more to our mature members would truly improve us in any manner.

In any case, I'd encourage everyone to observe that we actually have a pretty well-rounded community as far as intelligence levels and maturity, and not to base their assumptions on a small misunderstanding as has occured several times before.

All the same, welcome to RRR. Enjoy your stay and try to follow the rules, seeing as we uphold these to our best effort.

EDIT: On a side note, I too am curious at to the meaning of the title of this thread.

Irrelevant, considering that maturity and game making communities aren't mutually exclusive. There are many mature game making communities.

Well, it seems like they've pretty much accepted their userbase. It's easier to leave it as is, than improve it. Sort of like that whole "It's easier to judge than to listen to someone" thing.

Idk, this place reminds me of the old RM sites except really bad. It's hard to form an opinion on this place! I'm pretty sure more anime avatars will fix it right up.
