You start the game with a magic meter of 9.
You have 3 initial hearts, and 2 Rupees.
You start with the Kokiri sword, The Deku shield, and your choice of a weapon.
You may have a Fairy (if there are any willing to team with you) in your cap.

You start with the Giant's knife, the Goron shield, and your choice of 2 weapons.

Shouldn't you post some sort of rules for these type of things beforehand? I was assuming that the def+1 of the shield meant that the damage was reduced. And what about dodging? I read every last word in the rules, but saw nothing about dodging. Oh well.
