I toggled the map on and off with 2 different buttons, L turns it on and R turns it off.

Truly awesome script you have here.

Very easy to use, it's Plug N' Play, and it looks nice.

But i'm getting a bit of trouble here. I'm using "Samo The Thief's Quest Script", and at first the minimap was working like a charm. But when I got my first quest using that quest script, the minimap dissapered.

I'm sorry if this seems like a easy fix, but i'm not that great.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, Thank You.

There's a switch specified in the script that will turn off the mini-map. Perhaps you used that switch?

You can change the switch specified in the script to another.

Oi, thanks for the help. That indeed was the problem

I was messing with it earlier, trying to change the trigger number, and didn't set it to the right one.

Script works great however when I do put the comment for something to show up it does not show on map--and I am using graphic for event sprit

so what is going on???

I think you need to type in MMEV npc for it to appear.

Alternatively, you can replace npc with treasure, enemy or merchant for them to display in different colors in the minimap.

I've done that and it does not show them--it is very annoying

How can you make the NPC/Treasure appear on the mini-map? It says MMEV i put where?

Nice script Wora it worked very well on my other game but the one i am working on now the Map won't appear, well i only see the red dot and the other dots for npc/treasure, but I don't see the map...I tried to put the script above all my other it ddn't worked, I tried below all others..didn't worked and i tried a random place and it didn't worked too wacko.gif if i set up a list of the script I have would it help?

I'm also trying to use a world map that is 500x500. I've tried looking through the script but have not used ruby before. What causes this limitation? Is there a work around?

The error I receive is can not create bitmap.

The Script is not compatable with the map effects script by Noor_XP. Is there a way to make it compatable or I only have to use one of them?

Sorry that this is kind of a necropost but I really need to know what to do, when I enter my big map (500 x 500) it has the error 'Script'minimap' line 210:RGSSError occurred. failed to create bitmap.' Please can someone tell me how to fix this because I really need to use the minimap on the extra large map.

Edit: Yay I've fixed it, if you want to do it just put the script call MiniMap::GRID_SIZE = 2 in an event before you enter the map and put MiniMap::GRID_SIZE = 5 when you leave the map to change it back.

Hey man, I'm having some problem with this script:

- What is it says in error window?
????? 'MiniMap' ? 132 ??? NoMethodError ????????
undefined method 'show_minimap?' for nil:NilClass

- When is it get error? (Right after run game, when you choose something, etc.)
Strangely when I go to a map, it isn't any map, it's a certain map that I enter and shows this error
(this map hasn't any script that may crash with this one, is like all my other maps)

- Do you have any other scripts running in your game that may crash with this script?
I don't think so, I use a RingMenu script and Advanced Save/Load Script but I think they don't crash with this, if it would crash it had crashed at the other maps, but how I said before it only crashes at THIS map

Very nice. My compliments. I only have one question.
I've made a new tag, named Doorway. It is supposed to show where you can enter the next map. It works pretty well, there's only one little problem... it only works on real door-quick events sweat.gif
For example: If I put it in a cave entrance it does not appear on the map.
Do you guys maybe have an idea what's going on and how to fix that problem?
