What it does
This script emulates the masters system in Breath of Fire 3. That is, you can choose to apprentice a character to a master in order to gain benefits/drawbacks to attributes and learn skills as you level up and keep visiting the master.

An annoying thing a can't get rid of at the moment is the first character in the menu when selecting a pupil has lost half its text... annoying... will try to fix for 1.1

you have to download winrar to open the rar file.

I love the BOF III masters system. I used it in my xp game and now that i've switched to vx, this is a life saver. Amazing job Tywin Lannister. Also, your BOF III Dragon Genes system is off the hook too, man. Keep em' comin'!

was that my old xp script? bit embarrassed by that (my first ever script!) more comfortable in my skin as a scripter now and can't wait to unleash more BOF 3 goodness on the VX world!

DUDE when i try to load a game, it comes up with error line 64 EOF ( End of file reached) wtf? i tried fixing this but sofar ruby is hating

1 - if i have included the save files with this demo, i shouldn't have. You need to run a new game first to set up the system.

2 - if you have imported this system into another project or whatever, you need to run a new game to set up the system.

Basically, all the masters are set up on the NEW GAME command, if you try and load a game before doing a new game with this script you will get errors, as it will try to load a non existent object which is storing the data for the masters. as with any script where you need to save new objects or whatever, you will unfortunately have to run a new game in order to make use of the script. Then you can save/load normally.

@TheBloodRed: hey, no idea why thats not working for you, though you really need the demo as there are some events with imbedded script to get this working.... at work at the mo, i'll do an update on this script tonight and post the script for you in the opening post.

As for Monopolize: I will eventually cover it in the Breath of Fire 3 - Custom Skills script

The same happened with me. Just copy all the scripts you've added to you're project into notepad, then copy the BOF Masters Scripts data into your own project's data folder. The next time you open your project it should be in the script editor. Hope that was a help
