Doesn't Mac Book Pro come with GarageBand?
I know you can use GarageBand to record audio/voice, so I would look for that on your Mac first. (I don't really use anything else on the Mac for audio because GarageBand works nicely.) =]

I really don't remember what they are called, but in the arts studio at the college, students would use professional-grade equipment for voice recording/vocals.
It was definitely expensive equipment, as it consumed a large portion of their annual budget just to replace/upgrade a couple of them a couple years back.

Technically, any "high quality" microphone you can find at a local electronics store should be adequate for what you're doing.
Though a studio and studio equipment is the optimal quality to record at/in. =]

Well, I'm not really an expert on that equipment, so I'd take his advice (unless he sounds like he has no clue what he's talking about). wink.gif
