Ok, maybe I'm the only one with this problem but while I was talking to the red-headed chick at the very beginning of the game she says come here after talking about the dream and then the game crashes and says Anti-lag script stack level too deep.

Not sure why it's doing this but I can't get past the beginning because of this.

Odd. I'll test it but I haven't heard anything from anyone else with this issue. :/ I might suggest downloading a fresh copy and seeing if that fixes it. I'll let you know if I also have an issue when testing that.

Alright I tried it three times but it did it every time so I'm not sure what the problem is. Are there random encounters in this game or can you see the enemies?

I apologize for my less than speedy reply. I'm not super active on this forum, unfortunately. I'm much more active at the sister/cousin/whatever site. tongue.gif

But anyway, yes, battles are random.

And there's a new version posted so I'd try downloading that one. biggrin.gif

RPGUnmaker found an embarrassing bug that no one in the thousands of downloads ever bothered reporting to me, so I fixed that and also updated some graphics and other minor things that have bugged me but I had been too lazy to fix.

Posted a trailer for the game on the first page.

So I just managed to finish this one up tonight. Quite a long game, and an impressive feat to pull off as a one-man team (in spite of the help you probably had with all the resources). The story really stands out here as near commercial quality, as it's really very epic, well written, and full of interesting surprises and twists. The dungeon layouts were handled well, and even though the mapping could use a bit of a facelift in some areas, for the most part it was pretty decent.

The real big drag comes from the tedious battles, and the game balance. Near the beginning, the balance felt appropriate, but about halfway through they just became exceedingly difficult (in spite of the heavy grinding). What made it especially hard was that the battles ranged back and forth between easy and hard throughout the game, making it difficult to decide if it was just me being under-leveled or something else. The walkthrough found online made it clear that most enemies, including bosses, can be stunned or put to sleep, so in the end I just spammed these states to get through many of the battles.

Personally, I think if you were to take another look at the way the game is balanced, and increase higher XP/Gold and drop awards, the game will begin to balance out much better, and you'd have a pretty solid rpg.

Beyond that, though, as I've stated above, this is a pretty clever game.

Is "The Mundane Prince" that this game is based on a story you are writing or have written? I tried finding out more about it online, but could not.
