Requires Java 6+ found here http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/jav...oads/index.html This program will NOT run if you do not have Java 6+ installed. Java 7 is recommended.

Updated 3-10-2013 All links current.

Current Update:
Changed the menu around and added confirmation windows.

Also going to faze out the Web Applet version here soon.

Feel free to use the created images where ever you want. No credit is needed but is appreciated. Credit Famitsu if anything for the images they provided me for this Sprite Creator.

Major update. No longer requires a web browser to run. Just double click "SprCre.jar" or double click SprCre3.bat to run.

Enable double clicking of runnable JAR file:
If you have not set file associations for ".jar" file types then right click "SprCre.jar" select "open with", go to where Java JRE is installed (usually c:/Program files (x86)/Java/jre7/bin" for 64bit java or "c:/Program Files/Java/jre7/bin" for 32bit java.) Select javaw.exe (Must use javaw.exe NOT java.exe) and click ok. That should make the the jar runnable on double click. Or you can run SprCre3.bat. The path after "c:/Program Files/Java/" may appear different but just select the jre folder.

Did you find this program useful? Help me promote this applet by going to my facebook page and liking and commenting there on the wall. Would love to hear what people have to say.

NOTE: For entertainment and my personal use. Feel free to repost this where ever you like. If you would like the Source Code you can email me at Jensen_305@yahoo.com.

Generation is saved in png format with transparency enabled. The files are Saved in the "Saved" folder wink.gif
Animated Preview

Artwork not fully created by me although most of it is heavily modified and licensed. Some of the artwork is from Famitsu which is the point as this applet is intended to mimic the website as a 'take with you' option. This is for people starting out with programming or people who use GameMaker and RPGMaker and would like to experiment with pre-made character creations.

Special Thanks:
Axerax at RPGRevolution for the Sprite Creator 3 splash.
Holder at RPGRevolution.com for your beard images.
Famitsu

Create 117,717,292,862,668,800 character combinations. [tongue.gif]

Doesn't require the web browser:
Web App and Application are combined in the same JAR now. You can use index.html or just double click the JAR to run. The layout will be automatically set.
Sprite Creator 3 Download (adf.ly > Rapidgator)
Sprite Creator 3 Download (adf.ly > Mediafire)
A small hoop to jump through for a free program. smile.gif Thanks for your support.

If you would like me to add resources that you made to this Sprite Creator PM a zip, I prefer mediafire please, and I'll see what I can do. If you would like to create resources for the project so I can add them I can provide how the image layouts are. Please only provide images that you created. I cannot add images that require a license unless I can get that license free. Also please don't send fully created characters unless the image is a .xcf gimp image with all the layers of the image separate.

Current project status:
Currently working on a very large update. Giving the window a menu to control what some of the buttons do and making the window have a more windows 8 feel.

Is it possible to add your own parts?
Great work still. Looks very clean and easy to use.

I can very easily add parts to the program without adding any lines of code. Actually I am trying to contact someone on the forums about a beard that I want to add for the males.

EDIT: I think I know what you're saying. The images are actually saved and loaded from inside the JAR. That is actually a good idea. Allow the loading of outside resources. I'll have to figure out how to implement that. Is a very good idea but as of now an outside party cannot add their own images. However you can remove mine individually and piece them together using GIMP quite easily if you know the stacking order. There are a max of 17 images that make up each sprite.

ALSO: I also just got my hands on 3,000 XP sprites in the very same manner. Going to see if I need a license to use them and add them as an option. Depending on how long it takes to edit each image to where I like it and get the program set up I would say about a week or two and I can have it added to the project. Or just create a project for it.

Great tool thumbsup.gif just a shame it doesn't allow for RMXP style sprites.. I'm shocked that no one has made a better generator for that since the Loose Leaf one. I'd kill for one like that.

That is the one I am talking about. I have all the looseleaf project files. Once I figure licensing info I plan on getting that started as well.

My next project will be either a new project for XP sprites or I'll combine it into this one and allow people to choose their style.

I can also add peoples personal pieces too if they want me too as well.

EDIT: Just took a look at the looseleaf sprite sheets and I can see why no one has created a better Sprite Creator for it. Their images are all over the place. I expect it to take a week to organize them into groups. I have the image order already. So basically a RMXP project is under way right now.

I created this character in GIMP

Get the Full 21 layer GIMP2 image above
You can open the above GIMP image and move around the layers. I think it looks best like this. Also I think that those sprite sheets lack a little depth.I'll also have different skin colors, something not available on looseleaf. Not sure if I should put the wings under the cloak like in the second image...

Excellent! I'm really looking forward to it... and what I did (and it takes awhile) is manually download the images from loose leaf. Its a fairly annoying proccess, that's for sure. But I'm using game maker and layering them that way as I've noticed some layering issues from the site as well. This way I've got an actual paperdoll system. Though, I still pre-generate for NPCs since their appearance is static. Also, skin colors and maybe additional head shapes would be a warm welcome.

EDIT: if the 3k sprite parts you got are all from loose leaf, would you be willing to share just those just the images in a zip/rar file? If not, do you know of a quicker way of getting all those images from the site?

EDIT 2: here's the translated copyright info you were curious about... roughly translated...
this site's images, we use those created by MACK, the administrator of Loose Leaf. If you want to distribute the processing material, contact is not required also, if you distribute the game in its use of the material was completed, as a copyright notice in order to avoid user confusion, and lead me document or Special Thanks, the staff roll such as corner man, distribution sites ● MACK ● http://homepage3.nifty.com/looseleaf/ Please write a copyright notice something like that. We will leave here, do you claim that you used the "simulator Loose Leaf material synthetic characters." ~ ~ For commercial use of the work distribution for games that use the material on this site, you can pay (shareware, commercial work, etc. Doujin Game) freely distributed free of charge regardless. Prohibits the distribution of material in the form of a collection regardless of whether or not compensation is received, however, a single collection of material. Please try and sell the game only as a work. Reprinted from Loose Leaf, partially modified.

Seems to be that you can use it for whatever without the need to contact him as long as credit and copyright notice is included. If publishing a game, just contact him with the relevant info that documents crediting him.

Images for looseleaf are located <Link Removed by 0circle0>.

Also updated the program. Thanks to Holder I added one of his sprite sets to the program. A new Beard featured in the current main picture has been added.

The images are a little hacked up it seems. The hair is horrible, but I'll figure it all out. Then once the images are all together I'll go on the long spree of renaming them all to coincide numerical order.

Ya, I've noticed some sprite parts are a bit strange... And I haven't yet figured out the reason behind cutting out the lower back of the head yet... I'm guessing it has something to do with hair, but I'm not sure... I just combined the 2 base pieces and used that as a single image... so far I haven't had any conflicts with armor or hair or anything else not being layered correctly.

Your current project gave me a good idea though... I can use the vx sprites as "children" for the game and the XP sprites for the adults. I was just going to use premade child sprites but now I can do it this way smile.gif

Actually, its not that messy once you get the offsets for each category... Playing around with the parts you sent and its all fairly straight forward... AND I'm willing to bet that all the offsets can be gotten from the loose leaf site just by examining the source. Minor adjustments will have to be made of course. I think it will be well worth it for all these sprite parts... then perhaps we can see about adding additional parts. I've had some decent luck converting other sprite parts to fit and match the loose leaf base.

Major update. Sprite Creator 3 no longer requires a web browser to run. You can now double click the jar or run SprCre.bat

Also changed some of the base skin color images to look more correct.

EDIT: 1/28/2013
Changed the layout a bit as well as how the buttons look.
Now use timers to control the animation preview window.
If the "Saved" folder does not exist the folder will be created instead of not saving.
Loading of images is done when you need them rather than all at once on program start.
removed color buttons for each female and male and instead now selecting a color only changes the current sex.

EDIT: 1/29/2013
Created an Web Applet version and an Application version.
Reworked the GUI again. Now have a Web Applet and an Application version of the program.
Fixed an error where one of the Female/Hair images was incorrectly named and causing an error.
Added buttons to the Web Applet version to accomidate not having a menu bar.

wink.gif

A graphic addition update. Added 6 new cloak options for male and female with 6 color variations each. You can see the additions in the current preview on first post.

The cloaks are a 2 part set. The set I added was the set I edited. Going to add the original set as well here soon.

EDIT: Finished the other 6 cloaks and now I have added 12 new cloaks in 6 different colors.

2/3 - Added 12 new Acce2 options in 6 different colors each.

2/7 - Fixed a saving error. Should be solved.

2/8 - Updated the program.
- Adding a new Tail option.
- Added 5 new Tail Options with 6 colors each.

2/9 - Updated the program.
- Added an option "Bangs" for both male and female.
- Added 16 different Bangs for both male and female in 6 colors each.

2/11 - Added zombie and goblin for JUST male. I do not have the female versions, as I have to draw them myself. Until I draw them, or someone draws them for me and submits them they will not be added. Might be a few days before I get the female versions.
- Web Applet and Application versions are now combined into the same JAR and will choose its own layout based on how you run the JAR. Basically I got tired of editing the code back and forth and made it automatic.
- Also fixed and added a few things like confirmation windows on reloading and exiting the program.

Lol, some download pages can be confusing. Here you go.

Direct Download

You will need 7-zip, WinRAR, or another such program to extract it.
