Square Enix has released shots of its newTomb Raider game. They�€™re the ones which were previously exclusive to Game Informer, so more likely than not you�€™ve already had a look. Watermarked or not.

Still no date or platform announcement as of yet, but Crystal Dynamics head, Darrell Gallagher has said to �€œforget everything you knew about Tomb Raider�€� as the latest will be �€œan origins story that creates Lara Croft and takes her on a character defining journey like no other.�€�

I hear its a reboot, so i thought I should say that in the title...plus her Bow says "Lara Croft Reborn". :/

Good God, I am so looking forward to this! Although not sexually attracted to women, I do love the dirty, greasy Lara they've come up with. For some reason she reminds me of Hilary Swank. No idea why and my comparisons have always been so off.

I'm pleasantly surprised at how she's turned out and I can only say I'm really looking forward to this game. It'll likely be a day one purchase. Unfortunately I get the strangest feeling that the game is just going to be far too short.

Supposedly, they wanted to make her less of a "sex" icon and make this game, scary, dark and gloomy! I can't wait, and I'm so happy its coming to a system I can afford xD

Never liked Tomb Raider. Was always more of a Prince of Persia guy.

Hopefully this game won't concentrate on Lara's ass too much.

Not like Tomb Raider? Waaah!? Prince of Persia is great as well. Tomb Raider inspired those types of games. I think it was the first to be like that too... hmmm.

I'm surprised they didn't want to have her there as sex appeal. Hell, even I'm finding her sexy and I'm the last person you'd expect to hear that from.

I just really hope it's done right. I can see it ending in complete failure but I do think refreshing the series is needed.

I really have no idea if Raider came before Prince.

They really shouldn't focus too much on sex appeal, some people are sensitive and might take it the wrong way. As for Lara being sexy, well, I've always been more of a Claire Redfield kind of guy.

Its about time they want to let females take on a serious role. I'm tired of Japan making us out to be nothing more than Sex objects....
I think she looks friggin' awesome in this and the good "level" of sexiness. If that makes sense xD

I hope its done right too. I have a feeling it will be. If they want it to be more serious, then it will take on a good direction. And the screenshots are amazing! :>

Prince came first, but if you mean the new direction of Prince, then no, Tomb Raider did it first. Old Prince of Persia looked and handled a lot different than games like Tomb Raider and the newer Prince of Persias. :>

Ah, then yea, they took inspiration off of Tomb Raider. The whole gameplay was inspired off of it xD

I must be the only one who thinks that this game looks terrible xD. The first thing that they have to show us are cutscenes? It's bad enough when an rpg becomes an interactive movie but a platformer? More shots of jumping/puzzle-solving/platforming please. Sure, I know that the game will have platforming elements but when their first screenshots don't show any it's obvious where their focus is. I can just tell that I'm going to be dissapointed.

She looks sexy, but you won't see her in "slutty" positions/poses and the like, in the game. She's still got her sexiness goin' on, but not to the point where its like it was before.

We'll get puzzles, if I remember correctly, they promised that on tenfolds! lol
