I'm impressed Ember, these are really nice. Your unwrap is good and doesn't have much wasted space.
But you're using Maya for modelling. I'm a 3ds Max guy.
I'd use Max if given the chance. I don't know how different it is, but I know that since Autodesk bought Maya, Maya has been getting more and more Max features implemented. Like the view cube.

Hey Ember, you and your art are marvellously impressive! Not a vain bastard at all! >:P You could probably be hired as a new texture artist n landscape modeller for World of Warcraft! >:D I like the worm, woman, tavern and treasure textures best. >:)
I'm just getting a hunch on your monster-over-the-cliffs sketch, so Imma remind u dont forget to harmonise the colour tone of the cliffs n the grasses ^^

Thoughts in my head:
Adiuvare Invicem~ :) A brain has two parts. My left part has nothing right. My right part has nothing left. Talking is Sharing, Listening is Caring Tis a wise thing to know what is wanted, and wiser still to know when 'tis achieved. And still wiser to know when it's unachievable, for then striving is folly. If you truly believe you could've done it, then why didn't you do it? Hold your ground! We are the chosens of the Light! We shall not fall! -Arthas, Warcraft 3:RoC Show appreciation, leave your hesitation, to your life and dreams beyond. Determined all the wayyy!! :) I'd never want to rule a country - I'd much rather be the right-hand man of the leader. If there's a song that would define me, this is it.
I haven't used Maya in awhile so I don't know how close they are in the tools department these days. I typically used Max for all my modeling and unwrapping and if I needed to do any animation, I ported to Maya. Max' animation tools (at least back in 2005) sucked huge balls and I couldn't stand the Maya modeling interface and tools, though that is more a user bias on my end. Since I did mostly environment art (did a lot of Unreal map creation and modding), I didn't have a need for any complex animation, so I didn't have a need for Maya.

Unfortunately I lost two flash drives in the last week or so and the files for that dragon was on there. I should really learn to back up my shit.
Bro, your art is an enjoyable expression of your "other" side, one that is rarely seen through the eyes of a commoner, a part of you that never shows when around these social realms, a different kind of Ember that we don't loathe or lament for, but instead we envy and thank. Your art has surpassed expectations from this man, and has kindly extended its arm and widened its grasp into my abdominal garments and pleasured my body and soul in a formidable fashion. These sophisticated works of brilliance toil at my brain, fishing out various unanswerable questions, giving me wonders about our lives and what we make of them. Your sketches and drawings of the like are a beautiful weapon that strikes at my very heart, relaxes my eyes, and intoxicates my brain. If I could, I would take these pieces of pure genius and make love to them passionately by the fireplace, on a velvet rug, or perhaps silk, and discuss our feelings for one another. I would bless this artwork onto my refrigerator, where it will blossom to fame and fortune with its grace. But these wandering thoughts are a but an unfathomable excuse for what I, you, and your fans really think about your art. Alas, one cannot appreciate such beauty and tranquility from said works without having the means to share their feelings.

And thus Parakeet writes a love poem to Ember.
Just curious Ember, but have you located your flash drives? =\ Was hoping to admire some more of your artwork.
I didn't find them, no. Shit's lost forever
I have been working on this lately, I need to get around to UVing it before I can texture it though

That looks delicious? You mean it looks like it could eat you even though it is dead? XD That's some really cool artwork; I love and hate bugs, so it's perfect. =P

Hiiiiiiiiiii I'm back at TAFE now! I'm so excited for this year. There's going to be artwork out the ass, in fact I just finished my first day back and I already have two to post. Firstly I'll post what we have been given for our first assignment. I have to design, concept, model and texture a boiler. It has to be stylized and have a bit of a personality (the brief says it has to have a face.) and it will be made in the style of a Spyro game or something like that. This is my first well developed concept.. It may change. But you can expect a 3D boiler in the near future.
And this one I just did for some drawing practice. Started out just with that black silhouette seen in the corner, then added detail and colour. Took about half an hour.
Leon's Basic VX Scripts of Awesome: Step 1. Passive Skills- Create skills that add passive bonuses. (shitty) Step 2. Learning from Everyone- Learn skills from enemies, or allies, without being the target of the skill. (nice) Step 3. Dual Battle Landscapes- Set background and foreground image for your battles. (nice) Step 4. State Details- Add description to states, and allow viewing them on menu, and in battle. (nice) Step 5. Item Quality Colors - Colourize item, weapon, armor and skill's name according their quality or affinity. (very nice) Step 6. Skill Trees- Your actors can have talent trees now, like in the MMORPGs. (extremely nice) Step 7. Main Menu Manager- Easy, straight, and intuitive total control of commands for the main menu. (very nice) Drawing commissions are open. Facesets... monsters... anything: click here.
