First off, for those of you who watched the anime, but haven't read the manga, this RP is not, I repeat NOT Going to be some harem based eroge Story. With that out of the way...

Welcome to the RP =D



The RP will be taking place in Yokai Academy, a Highschool for monsters. While at school, all monsters (including teachers) are not supposed to let anyone else know what monster they are (although some characteristics generally give it away) and are to stay in their "human" forms. As Yokai academy is a school teaching monsters to live in a human society, most of the curiculam will be based on the human world, and will be more or less like a human school, save for random monster moments that will inevitably occur. Humans are generally uncommon in the school due to many monsters being a bit savage in nature and humans somehow appear tasty to them, however being a human does give you quite a few twists of your own to use

Yokai AcademyYokai Academy (陽海学園, Yōkai Gakuen?) is a special school made for the purpose of monsters coexisting with humans. It is founded by the three Dark Lords, one of whom is the dean of the school. Yokai Academy is surrounded by a barrier called the Great Barrier (大結界, Dai Kekkai?), which creates an alternate world separate from the human realm, hiding it from plain sight. The only known way to get to Yokai Academy from the human world is through a bus that travels through a tunnel called the "Tunnel of the Fourth Dimension", which, according to the bus driver, has various "mouths" that open to various tunnels all throughout Japan.... if the barrier collapses, all of the suppressed energy contained in the yōkai world will flood over to the human world, creating chaos and disorder.

There will be an original storyline, full of twists and turns, but for the beginning, it is just that of a school setting, with dorms located close by the school. This will be taking place in an alternate world from the actual Rosario story, so as that we do not need to worry about the dying dead fight or the actual storyline. You can either be a monster, a human, or something inbetween (human with monster blood? hybrid? WTF?) But do not trying mixing a bunch of legendary monsters, because generally, the stronger monsters have ALOT more weaknesses.

* Race is what kind of monster/demon you are (or if you are human). ALSO dragon and angel will not be allowed.
** Your human form is what you generally look like at school. Some monster do change shape or have "other features" become noticable when showing their true form. Like a werewolf becoming hairy and canine like. While some don't actually look different unless they feel like it ex. Vampires.
*** Most monsters have some form of weakness. Some are more obvious then others, like werewolves and silver, vampires and clean/holy water, stakes, crosses, ect. Most of the stronger monster speices generally have more weaknesses. Most weaknesses are just common sense, but if you are the first to pick your race, you can alter it as you see fit.

There are some races in this world that are stronger then others by nature, remember this when fighting, but generally they have more weaknesses. Vampires are the physically strongest by nature (although you can still beat them) but they have the most known weaknesses thant can hinder them. Likewise, Werewolves are the fastest, but their max speed is dependant on the moon, (visability, phase, ect.).

Oh, we're alredy gonna open this? XD One thing, if i'm not mistaken, wouldn't the mixing between a monster and a human always result in a magician? Also, here's something which might help people when choosing what monster they want to be. http://www.musesrealm.net/deities/creatures.html

Name: Kayria Hara

Gender: Female

Race: Shade

Age: 16

Year: 2nd

Appearance (Human):

Pitch black hair long hair that goes past her shoulders, empty-looking gray eyes and a very pale skin with a completely clean complexion. She's usually wearing the normal Youkai Academy uniform (short green skirt with white button-up shirt), except with a black hoodie over it. She's also always wearing a pair of pitch black leather boots.

Appearance (Monster): Her monster appearance has no definite form, being able to shape differently depending on the situation. Her eyes can be shown as red blobs in the blackness if she desires to show them.

Abilities:

Multi-functional body: Since her monster shape lacks any definite form she is able to transform any of her limbs into whatever she wishes, ranging from sharp long blades to blunt weapons as well as any necessities which might arise.

Meld: Hiding by melding with the shadows of people and things.

Low-level possesion: By melding with the shadow of a living being, the shade can control the shadow's owner for a maximum period of one hour, which is open to recalculation based on the shadow's owner strength.

Bio: Shades are created when another being's fear and sadness continue strong even after death, the person is "reborn" as a shade although retains no memories of their past lives. Shades continue to live by feeding off others negative emotions and will weaken if they go a long period of time without doing so, although they don't necessarily need them to live, being able to feed from normal food as well, although not as effective. (Or tasty.) Kayria was, similar to all other shades, born from a dead person, a young girl whom she took the name from. After accidentally causing ruckus in the human world she has been taken into the Yokai academy and has been there since the first year.

Family: Non-existant.

Quirks: Even if not for the purpose of feeding, Kayria has the habit of stalking anyone who she finds even slightly interesting. She has mood swings ranging from shy and unsure from loud and cruel. She enjoys her solitude and prefers to spend most of her time on places where anyone but her would have difficulty reaching.

Weaknesses: Kayria's powers are weakened if she does not feed off negative emotions for too long, although the loss of power doesn't bother her. Kayria's powers also become weaker depending on how strong is the light on the place she's in, not only that, but places with extreme lighting are painful for her to stay in.

Never cared for the series in question, but I like this as an RP concept.

Name: Kou Inazuma
Gender: Male
Race: Oni
Age: 17
Year: 3rd
Appearance(Human Form):

Abilities: The physiology of Oni gives Kou the strength a many men. Being related to the lightning tribe, Kou can create lightning bolts which he can throw at foes like a projectile. Oni also have the ability to ride on a cloud if they can manage to get on one.
Bio: Unlike most Oni, Kou did not originate from hell, but was born on the overworld. Growing up, he went arround terrorize villages, destroying crops which he didn't consume for his own nurishment. Unfortunately for Kou, his father had decided to live a peaceful life, and did not approve of Kou's destructive actions. He was consequently sent to school to "fix" this behavior
Family: Kou has a mother, father, and baby brother who live isolated from the rest of the world in the mountains.
Quirks: Kou is what most people would call "blessed with luck." He wins often than not when it comes to chance games making him a bit of a gambler. This luck even goes towards chance everyday occurances usually manifesting in small ways such as finding some loose change on the ground. As a result, Kou has developed a tendancy to indifferent to many occassions, after all, things will work out in his favor... right?
Weaknesses: Hates soybeans, and has a phobia for monkeys.

EDIT: Gave my character an additional power because he seemed kind of underpowered compared to everyone else. Hope you guys don't mind.

[Dirus]

Name: Dirus Leotine

Gender: Male

Race: Elemental being of ice

Age: 18

Year: Third

Appearance(Human Form): A somewhat pale, handsome young man with medium length white hair that's a little on the messy side and intense aquamarine eyes. Dirus has almost completely disregarded the Yokai Academy uniform and prefers to wear an untucked white dress shirt with the first button undone and sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He still sports the Academy uniform's pants and wears a tie on occasion. Dirus is about 6'4" and about 165lbs. Outside of school he usually wears pretty much the same thing except for his pants being a pair of dark blue jeans and sometimes he’s seen wearing a long black wool coat and glasses.

Appearance(True Form): His true form’s appearance changes on accordance to his mood at the time. The angrier he is, the more physically monster-like he becomes. Being an elemental, he has the potential to turn his entire body into a blizzard capable of swallowing up a very large area. Also, because he is an elemental, one could say that Dirus doesn’t really have a definable ‘true form’.

Abilities: Dirus holds absolute control over the element of ice, as he gets stronger the amount of ice he can control grows as well. He doesn’t just control ice however, Dirus holds the ability to freeze almost anything. There have been times that all he’d have to do was look someone squarely in the eyes and their blood would run cold, literally. He can be very dangerous especially when he loses control over his powers. The dormant raw power of an element resides within Dirus’ body and when he loses control it’s released.

Bio: Dirus isn’t really a people person. He’s quiet and a bit of a loner due to his lack of friends, even though he’s already in his third year. He’s a very smart individual as well and holds some of the highest marks in most of his classes. Dirus has pretty much perfected his human form insomuch that the only people who still remember what he is have already graduated. Dirus almost always has a bit of an irritated or tired look to him, regardless if he actually is or not. This fact is part of the reason why he is most often seen as unapproachable.

Family: Deceased.

Quirks: Tends to act a little goofy when no one else is around and misses school quite a bit due to his weak immune system causing him to get sick often. When he isn't studying or being sick, Dirus usually plays the piano, and quite well I might add.

Weaknesses: Dirus becomes exhausted after being in intense sunlight and heat for prolonged periods of time, especially in the summer. (Winter not so much.)

With three people signed up, I will probably start this about mid week.

Now the great question comes into play, what club should we all be a part of? since that is/would be the easiest way to have a bunch of random characters together.

Kou isn't the type of character who wouldn't go to a club on his own accord. If he's going to be coerced into joining a club, it would likely have to cater to his interest, or be one that doesn't require much effort on his part.
Maybe a rather unorthadox group that's just getting off the ground would do the job.

Oh, also, are we allowed to make more than one character? I'm planning to make a human.

In regards to clubs, we could always just go and do a journalism club like in the original series. Or we could make something new like...I dunno...A human relations club? If not, i have a list of common clubs for japanese high schools...

If Omnial chooses to make the Journalism club the main focus of the clubs and such I think that might work, although there might be some problems with actual characters having interest in such a club. Probably, the only club that Dirus would be interested in would be the music club.

It doesn't matter if our characters have an interest in the club. We just need to get everyone together. If people are more familiar with the original series than using the Journalism club is a legitimate place to start. Its all a matter of writing oneself in.
I merely suggested a newer and more unorthodox club because I thought it would make things easier.

Name: Viola Rhode
Gender: Female
Race: Vampire / Snow lady
Age: 17
Year: 2
Appearance(Human Form): Appears as a youthful white lady with reddish purple hair, and amythest eyes with a slit for the pupils. (uploading drawing when can)
Appearance(True Form): Due to her unique species, her true form isn't much different other then growing ice crystals on/out of her, and her hair becoming more like fridged. However her ice is more of a red in hue.
Abilities: Super strength, stamina, agility and the ability to make crystal claws and throw ice projectiles out of her body. Along with Ice clones.
Bio: Due to vampires being of such a proud nature, when her father fell in love with Aoi, it was a forbidden love that he had to take elsewhere. Leaving everything behind the couple moved to the human world. They had a child seemed to inhereit many qualities of both her parents but dimmed down a tad. She was raised in the human world for most of her life, but always told that she was different. She had no problem making friends, and was usually on at least one athletic team. After an "inncident" at her school, it was decided it would be best for her to go to Yokai Academy, so it would be such a "life or death" deal if she were to have another chilling mishap. Viola is kinda, but acts a little to masculine, and would rather be engaged in a strenuous activity then going shopping. However this doesn't mean she lacks a fashion sense, however, hers is a unique one at that.
Family: Father - Dominic Rhode Mother - Aoi Miyuki Rhode
Quirks: Tomboyish attitude, obbsession of icecream
Weaknesses: Hot temperatures and Crosses

YEs you can have more then one character, I will be adding my second a little later, and yes you can be human, however there is a chance of people wanting to eat you fyi.

Also for clubs, really random ones will be best I think. What about a radio based club? it would be easy enough to attract slackers, music lovers, news followers, and cause mischief.

I approve of this radio-based club! Not only for the reasons you just listed, but it seems like a great window for character development if our characters ever have to do a talk-show based segment expression their beliefs or opinions.

Name: Hiroshi Junichiro

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Age: 17

Year: 2nd

Appearance:

Abilities: Intellectual.

Bio:
Being the average smart guy at school, Hiroshi always had the interests and knowledge of a "nerd" but dressed up and always acted pretty much like a "goth". Ironically, he never really fit in either of the groups at school and was pretty much a social pariah, having only a few friends through the course of his school life. His parents both being very busy, he is usually sent off to private schools with dorms and such so his parents don't have to worry about looking out for him. Hiroshi never really cared much for sports, except for tennis. However, he ended up dropping out of it so he could focus on his studies. He eventually achieved a scholarship and was, probably due to some mistake, sent off to Yokai Academy, oblivious to the things that were to come.

Family:
Hitoshi's parents are alive and fine, although in the verge of divorce. He's an only son but has a few cousins whom he meets every now and then, although he doesn't really keep a close relationship with any of them. The one family member he had a best relationship with was probably his grandfather, Satoshi Junichiro, who was an averagely well know cinema director. Satoshi died of old age about five years ago, however.

Quirks:
Hiroshi's abilities are mostly limited to intellectual skills, he knows quite a lot about computers, mechanics and general technology and has a huge interest for playing games such as crosswords, chess or checkers. He also happens to be incredibly paranoid. He's hard-headed to the very core, especially when it comes to mechanics, and will keep trying to fix things until it's either completely fixed or broken beyond repair.

Weaknesses:
Hiroshi is pretty frail physically and lacks quite a bit in regards to social skills. He's also awfully clumsy when he's not completely focused in what he's doing.
