Now doing the cbs. Two screen shots (tests) of how its shaping. Keeping with Minkoffs V1 and
similar style to FF TLH. Two things Im not sure about...is the font okay or confusing...too fancy,
and secondly, does it look okay ? If yes, then Ill concentrate on summons...which will mean
heroes replaced with eons...which will take time to do. Feedback please !

Testers.

The backgrounds in your game are visually astounding. Do you make them yourself or use existing images? Oh and if you know any GOOD sideview battle systems, GREAT even, please point me in their direction, ONGAIA NEEDS YOU ;-;

Because the RTP system will make it shameful...

Admittedly, most of the battle bkgds are from various sources. I use Paint Shop to change
them to look more atmospheric to the story. Tell tales in all my games in XP to date....
same foregrounds but added different farscapes and so on.

Dirke enters the Ancient Temple...

Town of Tirkowi (renamed Ghaella).

Do you use existing RO sprites for the battle characters? Or do you edit those to be unique?

long time no see amigo, anyways my thoughts on your game

Plus side:
-Well done backgrounds i must say
-Summon system sounds good
-pretty good story
-The font looks pretty damn sexy, i must say nice font

Negative side:
-weapons look kinda out of place with the characters, once i find a site for RO weapons
i'll post it for okay amigo
-Ro sprite battlers are pretty popular these days. You should customize your battlers a bit
more to make them your own you know what i mean?
-The story is alright but the whole merciless villian ploy has kind've passed. You should maybe change the villains personality a wee bit the whole "muwhahahahaha villian" is best saved for mario rpg games

Ahem those are my thoughts on your game, though it needs a little bit of work i think the finish product will most impressive. I'll put this one on my looking foward to list. If you need help making battlers don't be afraid to ask, but these days i'm kinda busy. Well then chrono out*dissaperas in gladware bag*

Today I was workin on this FFX2 cms for my game. This is it so far. Question is, would it look better
in blue ? The windowskin would need to change accordingly. Im really not sure ?

Edit: Blue skin chosen !

Greetings DHalo

To be honest I'd like to see you keep the green one.
My reason for this is simple, blue is overused when it comes to menus, it feels like it's the most obvious choice.

If your not totally happy with the green then why don't you try taking a screen shot of the menu in game and load it into Paint Shop and alter the Hue to see how the other colours would look.
By doing it this way is the quickest way to see the effect it will give, the down side is that you'll be changing the characters picture that may alter your judgement.
Make sure you write down how much you've altered it by then do each part individually

As for the game it self the story sounds good. There is one little thing that is bugging me, the second screen shot (The one of Tirkowi) the middle building doesn't give the effect of any depth, try a shadow tile to the left it may help.

Keep up the good work,
Farewell.

Maybe just add an option to choose between the two? tongue.gif

Anyway, everything looks GREAT... but I wish the faces would be more consistant.

Oooo...this does look very pretty. And there seems to be many female characters. Fun.

Here are my comments.
+ comments:
+You looks like you have a good handle on graphics.
+Summoning is a great system.
+ Clean, clear goal

- Negative
-Ditch the font. It's pretty, but that particular font should be reserved for Titles or Special names. Reading that the whole time is difficult. Use a Sans-Serif font for your text. (Like Arial to be generic).
-Second the consistant face Templates

Also, I'd go with Green. wink.gif

I agree Modesty...the French font was too fancy ! So thats a changing. Thanx smile.gif
Faces...well theres six heroes in this, so theme will remain the same, consistent ?
Anyway, more works been done esp storyline. First town completed...Tirkowi is now officially
Ghaella. There will be four Summons in the game...all to use in battle. Well thats it so far....
Bye.

Wow that thing is huge, I like it. What sort of movement does it have?

The only thing I can suggest on making the picture better is that it does seem to have a white pixelated outline, if you wish it to be like this then I would recommend going around the outside of the image with a light colour (about two pixels wide.) not used else where in the image then when you import it make it the semi-transparent colour. Giving the dragon/summon a glow effect.

How are you working the summons into the game? In the way of acquiring them.

Thank Dark Holder for the feedback there. Ive animated this in RMXP so the Eon comes from
right to left, and fires balls (like zerobahamut). I kind of like the semi transparant idea...I could do
that in the animation sequence...or make it silvery. Ill send in a small screenie with this post later.
Summoning is used as a skill command. Yeah, still fiddling with whats best, & Ill improve on the rip
pixelling.

Im going to have to edit down a little. Heres a late screen of the first Aeon in battle, and some
feedback is welcome. As this is my final project it needs to be right. The Aeons will turn transparant
once they have attacked.
