The only problems I had with the story was the fact the god plunged into the earth and was able to create that shield which I imagine was strong enough to stop his brothers war efforts (yet he couldn't do it before). Maybe I'm missing something or it is explained better in game, but beside that, it's easy to see you have put a lot of thought into the world these people live in.
He could have done this before but chose to make a stand before he applied the shield. The shield requires all of his power to maintain which is why he no longer lives among the people.

I also liked the main character and the unusual twist of his position being at the bottom rung of society, but I hope you can make that believable, since a town guard to me would also deal with crime, making him valuable in that respect.
There is no crime in the world, and there hasn't been a monster spotting in twenty years so the guards are seen as a little more than useless.

The screen shots I'm afraid didn't impress me, for the simple reason of realism. The tables are too long in the community house (imagine if a table was that size in real life, it would break in half), same with the benches in the church. The grass area of the Cashis gates and the church 3 could have been better if you added some short grass, flowers, weeds etc. Lastly the tent was a little jarring and angular, there's not much you can do about that without getting a better tile set I think, or editing the current one.
As for the tables and benches, I personally made sure they were reinforced. I will however look into improving on those maps. As I have mentioned before I am far from being a good mapper.

And that's it for the bad. The wooden stake walls looked cool and the outside of that church looked nice too. The mining town looked pretty good, but personally I would switch up the doors a bit, they all looked the same which was a little boring.
I will take a second look at those doors . Thanks

As for your issues, in the database you can set the gold dropped by enemies by going to the enemy tab. You can change the items and gold dropped by each monster there. As for the currency showing in the menu you COULD go through the scripts in your game searching for any references to gold and putting a # at the start (turning the line green) but I would avoid doing that if your unsure. Perhaps make a post in the script request section of the forums for someone to make up some for you?
When I said that I was mainly concerned with the gold in the battle system I am using, but I didn't even think about gold showing in the menu. Thank you for saving me a revision.

As for music,
http://www.rpgrevolution.com/forums/index....showtopic=45999 is a post in this forum with some good links, and in the resource submission you can find some music made by fellow RRR members. Only downside is the size of your game will start jumping in leaps and bounds when you start adding mp3s etc. Just take careful note of the musician (I like to make the name of the file with the musicians name in it so I can never loose it).
I actually have a friend who is a producer and he told me that he's in if he can find the time so fingers crossed.

Phew, hope you got through all that and didn't get discouraged by the mapping issues I pointed out.
Quite the opposite of being discouraged. I wholeheartedly appreciate you taking a look at my post and giving a though opinion of it. Thank you
