As I've already mentioned, I've planned to release the demo in July. However, my artist is on vacation, and I don't want to release the demo until the graphics is done. So demo release date is still unknown.

Your mapping is GREAT. I've only seen one other person on RRR very good at mapping. I think mapping is one of the most important parts of a game plus your great plot, I'm sure this game will be great. Oh, and don't worry to much about that demo release date because it's better to slow down and make a great demo then rush and make a bad one. So anyway, great work!

Many RM veterans release rushed demos, and it still come up good. If not, why don't you go ahead and play Ascendence by Rei-. I bet you won't have anything to say after that n00b.

I can easily say that your mapping is inspiring to me. Don't know if I'll ever get that good, but I'd love to try. On top of that, your story is very good, and it seems that the game has been very well planned out. By the way, I noticed that you'r using Cogwheel's RTAB. Is that the one with the zoom function? If it is, it's probably one of my favorite battle systems, because it's so engaging. I sense a good demo in the making.

A small, but not such a big update. The reason Im posting this is that Im looking for an event designer.
I know eventing, but not as good as other people. So making puzzles for the game is really hard, and it will take alot longer to finish the demo that way.
So, what will you do as a event designer? Well, basicly making puzzles for the game. That's pretty much it. If you want payment for it, I can only pay in maps, since I mostly don't want to use any money for this project(However, my artist gets paied in money, but that's because her work is so awesome)
So if you are interested in helping out with the eventing for the game, just PM me or post here.
Okay, I know this is a double post, but I have something important to say.
Most of you have been waiting for a demo for a very long time. I was actully going to release it next week, since all the puzzles and stuff was done.
However, today, when I got another puzzle from another person, my computer crashed. It was probably a virus in it, or something else. The truth is, the computer dosen't work right now. I don't know how much of the game that can be saved, but I hope it can be saved. I've worked so hard on this game. The game was a memory for my mother, who passed away in cancer one year ago. I've been working alot to finally finish the game. For now, the future of the game is in mystery. At the moment, everything is gone. The script Jens made custom for the game. The art ellenor made for me. Everything is gone right now. I hope for gods sake that everything can be restored. I have an old backup of the game, but it's really, really old.
Im glad for all the people that's been supporting the game. I want to thank all of you. Hopefully, the game will be restored. A for now, I don't know...
Ouch thats harsh. I don't see why anyone would go through the trouble of doing that too you, but they are a complete idiot. If I could, I would probably end up punching them in the face :/. In truth, (even though I hadn't posted), I have also been watching this game for awhile. I really hope you can recover the game, as everything was turning out nicely. The fact is was created in memory of someone, adds on to that fact (by alot). I would help out, but I am really only good at testing games.
Edit: Sorry about the bad typing. It just got to me that someone did that to you, when you were making it in memory of someone.
This was one of the first games on RRR that I wanted to play , although I've only posted once here, checked out about two other games of interest and I really like your story and especially your mapping. But, it's really aggravating how some no-life jerk would want to do something like this to you. You've got a good cause, I'm sure your mother is proud of you, and not to mention your gifted mapping ability. I wish I could help...but all I can say is that I really hope that your game isn't lost, and that none of your hard work goes to nothing.

EDIT: My dad and I have dealt with three or four computer-crashing viruses on my sister's computer, so we kinda got the hang of deleting them (although they can take as long as a week). If you post a screenshot and it's a virus I recognize, I could tell you what to do. But if it's a conficker...I have no clue...

This is horrible news...this is just terrible. But, maybe, if you gave the game to anyone, they could probably email you back the game. I don't know, have you ever game any part of the game to anyone for them to test it or something? Anyway, if there is anything I can do to help, I'll be happy to because I respect you and this game because It's just not one of those people who make a game for fun, you're doing this in memory of your mom, and I respect that. I hope in all honesty that the game didn't get deleted.

I just wanted to point out that I don't blame the guy who sended the puzzzle to me(Some of you makes him sounds like a bad guy). He's just as shocked as I am. He checked the file with 3 virus scans before he sent it to me. So if it's a virus from that file, it's very, very bad luck I guess.
We think the problem has to do with the processor, but I don't know if it has any connections with the hardrives I've saved the game on.
Myst, I Dont know what i can say all i can say is that i really dont hope its lost cause i know this would mean alot to you and your mom, and well i guess if god is fair to people he will let your game be saved, dont loose faith keep it up and this is actually a game i am looking forward to play, cause for my part there are only like 3/4 games i wanna play and thats Wendia, Luster, Kailis and Eternal Freedom, this is in my Q&A, but Myst i know it is there and all i really wanted to say is that we can only Pray for this deep game to be restored as good as new dont loose faith.

Uhm, Shadow, I'm pretty sure that if you do a Harddrive link (using a cord to link your current harddrive to another computer to see the contents) you can save your game. I have actually done this before...but I don't know the extent of your problem.

You mean if the harddrive is on the shared network? The problem is that I can't access anything on the computer(System settings, Mouse settings, anything)
However, I have an old backup of the game on the familys laptop, but I don't know how old it is.
Okay, nearly a month has passed, so maybe I should give an update on the situation.
My computer works somewhat. The CPU level is always up on 57% or something, but I can use the computer. However, I need to re-install RMXP, because when we re-installed windows, I forgot to add the RGSS2 files to the backup UBS(Stupid me >_<)
Other from that, it pretty much works, but Im planning to fix a new computer soon.
Ah, sounds good. Were the game files saved? Hopefully you can get the computer back to normal.
