Story:

IN 2007...

A terrorist organization who called themselves Society sought to unleash total chaos on Earth. After retrieving the three Chaos Stones, they quickly put their plan into motion, releasing a deadly entity, Zeke Marshall, in the process. After attempting to create a new world using the stones' powers, Zeke was defeated by the Celestial Prince and his eleven companions. Zeke was destroyed, Society disbanded, the world returned to normal, and the Chaos Stones were never seen again...

TEN YEARS LATER...

Jazz Singer Kyon Lei Kwon has come to Rodger City for help after being stalked by a mysterious foe who calls himself "Face." Chep Myers instructs his best officer, Eric Ventura, to guard and protect her. This mission takes a turn for the worst when Face crashes the scene and attacks Eric with one of his demons. While unconscious, Eric hears a mysterious voice that greats him magical ability and a sword, both of Relman origin, and tells him to "protect the Princess."

Eric uses this to save the singer, but his mission is far from over. He soon learns of the Twelve Demons of Chaos, a group of vicious beasts who terrorized the Realm dimension. Their combined strength created the original chaos stones and after losing the war to Celestia, they fled to Earth, where they thought they would be safe. After the events of ten years ago, the stones broke apart and separated, entering twelve human bodies, where they lie dormant...waiting for the moment where they are able to regain their full power once again.

Eric and Face both race to find the twelve demons, but the battle lines aren't entirely distinct once motives become clear and manipulation sweeps in. Can Eric and his friends follow this voice that has been guiding them, or does the voice have a mind of its own? Will Face succeed in retrieving all twelve demons, and what does he plan to do with them? Furthermore, how will the emergence of "Unity" come into play? This is war between Earth, Realm, Celestia, and dimensions all over... This is Complete Chaos!

Features:
- A cast of twelve unique playable characters, each with their own distinct roles, abilities and personalities
- Challenging (but never impossible!) gameplay that places emphasis on developing strategy
- Several hours of game time, as well as numerous optional quests to complete

Controls:
- Arrow keys: move
- X, V or C: open menu
- Enter: action key (open doors or treasures / talk)

Well I felt like testing a game before getting started on another one (just wasn't in the mood for testing the other one at the time) so I decided to give yours a shot. From my experiences with your past games, they are good, and I couldn't tell ya why not many people respond to them. Well anyways, here goes. Found two game breaking bugs for ya so far. Besides those, good game so far.

1. Early in the game, before the concert (when you can enter the building), if you take the left path, theres a npc over there that crashes the game if you talk to it.

2. Ships/planes often lead to bugs, so I tested out the plane a bit as soon as i got it. If you use the button in a really dark dungeon (say the one in the house in adrian), then in turn, the inside of the ship is really dark, making it hard to see characters (this isn't the gamebreaking part).

Anyways, after that, I tried using the button while still inside the plane. Sure enough, the plane went in with me, so I was flying the plane inside the plane. This of course was gamebreaking, since I could only exit the plane, if I left the plane, and I had no way to get the plane out.

Besides these, I've seen a few typos/minor passability errors throughout the game (they weren't all that bad, so I didn't keep track)

Other than this, good game so far. Ps: I havn't encountered it in this game so far, but in your past games (onyx/onyx2), there was a glitch (i think it was related to music glitching), where if you saved during that time, it would delete your whole save file. I thought i'd mention it, just in case you never got reports of it, and it could possibly be in this one too.

Well anyways, I stopped before the nuclear warehouse before typing this up, so I may find more.

Edit: I just checked the box in old city, and it finally let me enter (this is before going to the election house). I cant see a thing in there though, as that area is like solid black. I could tolerate really dark dungeons, but here i can't even see my character, though I can open the menu.

This occurred in the first download. It's been fixed already and that download has been replaced. smile.gif

I KNEW this would happen to someone, which is why I placed Ross there. See, incase a player gets lost, he or she can talk to Ross (who is at the very back of the ship, the same room with Davis), and he'll automatically take you to where you need to be. If you take the ship with you inside, just land it somewhere, talk to Ross, and he'll take you to your next destination as well as the ship, thus preventing game breakage.

Wow, that's crazy. The area isn't supposed to be that dark (it's not on my screen). Are you at least able to see the arrows? In any case, it's not really a dungeon, and here's what you can do. From the starting point, take 36 STEPS SOUTH, and you'll enter the next screen. From section 2, take FOUR STEPS SOUTH, 34 STEPS TO THE RIGHT, and TWO STEPS SOUTH, and you'll reach the conclusion of that area. There are no encounters, so you won't have to worry about that. I hope that helps.

Anyways, I'm glad you're enjoying the game so far. I realize you're playing with a slightly older version of the game, but you shouldn't encounter anymore gamebreakers. I hope. haha. I appreciate the comment, keep 'em comin'! tongue.gif

That's a pretty bad cop-out. You should really just disable it when you're already inside.

You need a list of credits.

Credits are listed at the end of the game.

I would've done so if I could, but RPG Maker does not prohibit people from using items while they're riding a ship. As far as I know, there's really no way to prevent this unless I was to disable the Button Pads while the player is on the world map....but I have a feeling that would've been criticized as well. I tried the best I could to work around that limitation.

People won't play through your entire game to see the credits, that's asking a bit much, hence you need a list of credits. That's generally why the rule exists.

If a player doesn't want to finish the game (their loss! tongue.gif), that's fine, however, the credits are in there. Anyone who helped with the game received their proper due.

ETA:

Just read the index and see that a list of credits are "essential." Give me a second to edit.

A fatal error late in the game has been brought to my attention. If you downloaded the game before today, I ask that you download the game again with the new link posted above. The old download link on RRR game's page, as well as my blog, has been replaced with this new one. I sincerely apologize for this.

The item calls an event, yes? Make the event not summon the ship if you're on the ship. Or remove the item from inventory when you're on the ship.

The item is an event, but the ship is one of RM2K3's default methods of transportation. To the best of my knowledge, there isn't an event that can pull your character out of the ship while they're flying it once they enter a new area.

In all seriousness, this is a relevantly minor glitch through no real fault of mine own, it's completely avoidable and I doubt this will even happen to most people, and if it does, there's a way to "fix it" so that everything runs normally.

Hello, all! I decided to release an updated version of Complete Chaos. The following issues have been addressed/fixed in this version, including:

- Graphical issues (mix-matched facesets begone!)
- Balance issues (enemies are slower in battle and the encounters are not as frequent. To compensate, the characters get more experience in battle and new equipment/items are MUCH less expensive. I also edited some of the characters' stats as well--some were seriously overpowered)
- Fixed plot-holes
- Cleaned up some of the language (when it didn't make sense)
- Dropped more hints for the player

Also, as a "treat" if you will, this new version contains exclusive material not found in the original game, such as:
- More optional dungeons
- Hidden playable characters
- 2 bonus endings (one good/one bad) that replace the original ending
