Damn, I always adore XP mapping..
For the last 2 posts, both are great. But Mr. T, I don't relle like the whole screen covered with the char..even if it's nicely done. That's the reason Unlimited Saga gets so many 'blasphemy'..

That's not the whole screen. That's not even one third of the screen. huh.gif


Highlander your maps are great but the light sources of the place seems kind of weird, it seems there's more light than there's light sources for the light to come from.

Actually the unknown light sources are from a window, I'm trying to show the player that there's a window there or there's a lamp there but I do agree that the lighting is over the top

oh and I lol at your final fantasy style maps... small exterior and huge interior

On the intro looking scene, the only thing I would change is the sentence where it says "...some still insist on clinging on the old mystical ways." You should change it to "...some still insist on clinging on to the old mystical ways." It's correct grammar and seems to flow a lot better.
On the indoor map, the area seems a bit large. People commonly have this mistake in their maps. You don't need it to be that big. Cut down on size a lot or actually fill the space with *USEFUL* things. If the person in the game is rich, then they can have a big house. But rich people tend to have a lot of pricey things to fill up that space. If the person that lives in that house is poor, there house should be small, tight, and compact, with not many things in there. I guess in VX it is a bit harder to do this than it is in XP, as everything is only a block.. but try your best x)

Also, the black border is throwing me off. Is that just VX's resolution default or something?

The rocky/stairs look out of place and slapped on... Try to make it fit in like the top tiles do.
But nice map^^

I think, well, both outside and inside could use little more 'clutter'. They look a little to open to me.

RD: I like it, but it's a bit overdone. On the gun it looks fine, the ground is fine, the robot thing is fine, but the sky... no bueno. Keep it the mountains.
Circle: It looks WAY NICE! I'd just say to make the lighting more realistic. Make it fade off completely, and then merge with the other light source just as it is about to die off. You know? It sounds weird, but if you study a light for a while and the way it shines on everything, you'll get what I'm saying.

Okay, so I'm rebooting my first ever project into VX Ace, purely because I'm missing the world I created for Elemental Cinniuint Tine. It's not ready for uploading at ALL yet, as it's being completely remade, with the High Fantasy Resource Packs by PV Games:

 
This is the remade inn from Rutilian. The town built inside a volcano. I've got a few extra bits and pieces to add to it I'm gonna do some tileset combining and editing, but i've finished the basis of the map, whadya think? tongue.gif

Too dark, the lighting doesn't make sense... It's not reflecting on near objects, lighting should be subtle and make sense.

Here are base flat WIPS for few dungeon levels of the commercial edition of Save your mama. Between the levels are either minigame challenges or boss fights or both. The white spots are placeholders for traps and special flooring and should be ignored in critique.
