>What you should know:
1. After having achieved a 100 posts score, you will be given the rank of Revolutionary and a personal gallery in which you can upload your graphics; You'll also be able to add a "customized title" to be displayed instead of the member level; 2. You need 100 posts in order to require a graphic resource in the Resource Forum and in the Script Requests Forum. 3. If you desire, you can also ask a Director to change your username, once you've become Revolutionary; 4. Be sure you read the Board Rules at least once! 5. RM2K3 download was disabled due to legal stuff, since the English translation was not authorized by Enterbrain; 6. Before asking for something, search the forum. Maybe you'll find exactly what you were looking for.
>Side notes: 1.While managing your own gallery, avoid using the ' in images' names to prevent your gallery from crashing and the site from producing an error message.

Hey everyone, my name is Cameron, (Doomhunt) and I am new to this community. I absolutely love what this forum has to offer, and am very grateful I was able to find such an active community for RPG Maker. I am currently using RGSS (RPGXP) and i love it! I got into rpg maker about 2-3 years ago, but due to an inability to figure out how to script as well as work with the event system, I eventually gave up to pursue other hobbies.
Now i am back and have been working on a full-fledged rpg game for the last several days. I have gotten very into it, and was lucky enough to find Tons Of Add-Ons by Blizzard, as well as many helpful youtube videos, teaching me how to make equippable armor, how to sprite etc. I use Loose Leaf to create my sprites, or the naked sprite sheet to create my own. I've found a lot of help by doing extensive research in google, including char generators, and faceset generators, etc. I will post some of what I have accomplished so far into another topic.
But yeah, a little more about me. I live in Glendale, AZ and I am 20 years old. I listen to hardcore music, death metal, and some techno, and I also have been playing guitar for around 4 years. I work at Jack in the box as a team leader. I live with my girlfriend at her grandmother's house, and spend most of my freetime with her or creating my game! I look forward to interacting with the other members on the site, and hopefully making some friends to collab some games with. I consider myself a decent spriter, but im still in the novice stages learning to script and create event handlers. Please feel free to talk to me, I am a nice guy and I have a passion for meeting new people. See you on the forum!

Anyways, welcome to RRR feel free to ask for any help.

Thank you so much for the quick and welcoming reply! Hmm, I don't think you'd enjoy a burger sent through the mail! Maybe this will satisfy for the time being:

Welcome to RRR!
You've got a nice introduction, with lots of information. I have a friend who is also a team leader at Jack in the Box, and he's very outgoing and friendly as well (makes for a good service employee, so I'm sure you do well in that job). ^^ I know how stressful that job can be, but hopefully you deal as well as my friend does with it. =] (I could never work or eat there, but I do enjoy the shakes and curly fries - my diet doesn't allow for even shakes or curly fries, but I still cheat by eating them every so often, lol.)
You seem to be doing well for yourself, in terms of developing your game, from what I can see; remember there are a lot of friendly and helpful members here that can answer questions and even work with you on your project if you ask them.

Thanks X-M-O! I appreciate the compliments. Yeah haha, work can definitely be a stressor, but like I said, I come home and I got my lady and my video games :DDD hahaha.. I'm getting terrible hours right now because of "labor laws" blah blah blah, actually I do really well there, they are still training me (its a new job) was doing pizza delivery before that (loved it but wasnt making enough to support myself [even with tips!]) The hours they're training me for is graveyard (like 12am-5...8 etc) so i should be getting a full schedule soon. I hate eating fast food. Period.
Its slow, I mean i'm no n00b but i am totally a n00b. hahaha if that makes sense. Everyone here seems to be pretty legitimately friendly, Ive also had an opportunity to play a few games, i.e., Space Funeral, and Vacant Sky so far. Still working Vacant Sky.
My ultimate goal is to have an extremely customizable equipment system. RPG Maker seems to not like being able to have a character equip a helmet, then a body armour piece, and then switch the helm to something else. So far I've only been able to change the entire char model via a body armor item. I think thats all it will even LET me do... haha which is fine. But i plan on having thousands of equippable armors that will also change the battler graphic.
I'm having a terrible time implementing a side view battle system. Scripting is NOT my forte.

Wow, well if you have that many armours you might have difficulty with the file size of the completed project (sometimes that becomes an issue with the more data you have in the game, so just a pre-warning that you might run into that issue). =]
There are many scripts available here, but there are also a few members who know a bit about it and can help out if you get stuck.

Welcome to RRR doomhunt! I'm anxious to see what projects you'll post here.
Thank you for the kind welcome. Yes I am working on a fantasy themed RPG, mostly learning how to use events since I am definitely no scripter, I mean I know some html but RGSS in Ruby is a whole different ballgame to me. Another project which I've barely started today involves a Pokemon Fakedex. I hope to work with RGSS-XP to create a Pokemon game as well. But with Gen V having just been released, I can't see as I'll get any farther than maybe a few friendly downloads. I'd love to do a collaborative deal though. I'll post my first PokeSprite that I just completed within the last hour on a separate topic. EDIT: THE LINK IS HERE:
Welcome to the forum Doomhunt, your username reminds me of the first Doom which I play religiously. Anyway, repeating what X-M-O said, there are many people here who are willing to give advice and help you with progressing in your game development. Alas, I wish you well on your Developers' Journey.
