I made a shapeshifting skill through common events in which you learn new transformations through switches, but I want to be able to learn new transformations through levels. I've set up the event like this;


I'm pretty confident that this should work, however, Variable [001:Level]= [Ralph]'s Level doesn't set the variable to Ralph's level, the variable just stays at zero.
I've tried to set the variable to zero and then added the actor level, but that still resets the variable to zero.
Does anybody know where I'm going wrong? Help would be greatly appreciated.

VX actually has some issues in the variables math department i.e it can't count, doesn't know how many items are in your inventory and is very bad at multiplication. If I recall correctly, that's one of errors.
There's a bit of code to fix this, and I'm pretty sure I posted a link in the topic with my coin-op event.

I had the same problem, too. Remember: if something isn't working, it's always possible that it's the engine that's screwing things up, so don't go beating yourself up if there's an error.
