Yeh, I'm missing Fixed Miriam too. Although, I don't mind if you don't include the font installing script. As long as you supply the actual font, it's easy enough to install it manually.

Other cool stuffs to check out! Even if they arn't mine...
During a fight I tried doing bloody dagger skill or whatever it was named and said file not found.
There is a problem on your map after the bus station, you can pass from behind the stairs instead of blocking you and before going the path down if you stay near the corner and walk down the character walks through the wall. Also you have to fix some of your message boxes because you have many words showing half or less.
That's all I've done for now as it crashed and will have to start over :/

Demo fixed.
link removed
STANDARD RTP REQUIRED! Next release will eliminate this requirement...
Please give comments and report bugs
As regards cut words, well it seems that on Windows 7 Fixed Miriam font is slightly enlarged... I've lessen font width by 1. It should work...
BUG REPORT: If you find a bug in the Demo, please, PM me: -the exact error message; -map in which the bug was found; -file missing (file name, etc.) -script error (line, script, etc.)
Thanks in advance.
Jens

I've played through the demo day 1. I must admit I'm quite impressed by the whole atmosphere of the game. Everything seems to be taken care of, till the last detail. I like the gloomy air that you can feel through it, and the battle system perfectly suits the game. The story also is intriguing and I'm looking forward to playing the next chapter! (Hope I can be of any help for the development )
(just one remark: the battle system is a bit... non linear, but maybe you'll be able to overcome this by introducing proper equipment or abilities when things will make harsher)

Whilst I haven't had time to to look at the game itself, I've noticed a few things from the screenshots. Firstly a lot of things stand out as odd because they don't match the tilesets and characters around them. For instance; the hooded figure in "District 7 - First Glance" looks a little odd because of a difference in detail and colours. The same thing goes with the two mechs in "The Pit", they're both good graphics but again, they don't match up.
What I do like though is the mapping itself and the inclusion of the guiding arrows. My favourite has to be the close-up picture of the keypad though, as a general rule, I've found using pictures like that isn't used a lot but can really improve the aesthetic appeal of a game when used right.

@Feoden
Thanks! I'm working hard in order to build District 2 / Spectra Labs environment, I just need some more time. If I need help, I'll post a recruitment topic... As regards battle system, well, I've received some feedback from Vexus too, but I'm seriously adamant to keep it that way. Maybe I'll insert some more tutorials...
@Donny
You're right regarding different graphics, but I'm not a spriter, so I resolved in using some graphics I had. The hooded figure is a beggar and his appearance is set to be different. As regards mechs, well, I haven't found better sprites... but the Pit is WIP, since will appear only from chapter 2, as well as Forgotten Mansion. I made pictures with Paint.NET and I assure you that the effect is quite amazing If you want to see them better, just click and see this topic:

I really loved the atmosphere. There were a fair few spelling mistakes and improper words, so you might need a native English speaker to go through it. It really was a shame because despite the mistakes I could still get a good feel of the atmosphere you were going for so I can only imagine how good it would be with proper grammar.
The battle system is intriguing but it definitely needs to have a more in-depth tutorial. I was hitting that first monster for a few minutes with skills after if fainted before I tried the normal attack and it died.
The story itself is very intriguing as is the world you find yourself in. As I said, the spelling mistakes detract from it but it is still lots of fun!

Well, thanks Knot. I'm Italian and have studied for FCE, so unfortunatley I'm not a native English speaker... If you can PM some of the mistakes you found, I'll be very glad. Maybe I should post a recruitment topic in order to find a someone who can correct my spelling&grammar... As regards Battle System, I know, it's rather difficult to deal with, at first, because it's rather different from any FF standard BSs... Well, I'll provide a better tutorial...
As a general strategy, remeber what follows:
Fighting Guide
-use Pain skills to weaken enemies. Pain skills generally deal much more Pain damage than standard attacks. -weaken every enemy, don't focus on a particular foe before they are all slowing down, since Pain damage reduces accuracy. If you kill a Haemophage, you have a 50 - 60 % Pain, and the second Haemophage has 0% Pain, then your attacks will miss everytime. -when enemies become slower, begin to use standard attacks, in order to rise their Pain and to deal serious Blood damage. -in the end, finish'em with Blood skills, which have lesser accuracy, but deal high damage (e.g. Blame's Close Range Burst)
Have you completed Day 1 or left before the end? I need to know in order to recalibrate difficulty settings. Thanks for playing and for bug report
Jens
EDIT: I just figured out some of them (all instead of everything, I'd like not to instead I'd prefer not to, a horrible colligues (!!!) instead of colleagues, probably (ARGH!), all the area instead of the whole area, et cetera, et cetera.)

I agree with knot, the game is intriguing but still needs someone to revisit the english language.. It's not a critique, since I think neither do I would be able to "translate it how an englishman would say it", but I suggest it in order to prevent it from losing its appeal. I don't think the difficulty needs to be changed though. At least, through the 1st day it's ok. (Perhaps it's because I have seen the playthrough directly from your pc...)

I've corrected almost any grammar error in Demo V 1.2. Try it, if you want to see language improvements. Please, take a look on the Fighting Guide and let me know if it's clear enough. It's located in the first post of this topic.

Day 1 Demo should work now (check the project main page) I need someone to test it and report bugs, glitches and/or language mistakes. Also, I need feedback on difficulty. I've received some feedback about this (two versus one agree the tutorial was rather confusing), but I need more people to try this and express their opinions.
Here's the fighting guide/fighting basics:
Fighting basics
1. Characters have two layer of damage, Pain&Blood. 2. Pain damage lowers progressively your stats. 3. Blood damage is related to life. 4. Standard attacks deal Pain damage, and if target evasion is low, even blood damage; 5. Skills deal only one kind of damage and generally are less accurate. Pain skills have greater accuracy but cannot deal blood damage. Use it to weaken enemies. Blood skills deal only blood damage. Use it to finish enemies. 6. Defend prevent Blood damage and halves pain damage received during the turn you're guarding; 7. Items can heal Pain damage. However, some of them (i.e. Painkillers) have a vanishing effect, that is after a certain number of turns, their effect goes away.

Pain skills generally deal much more Pain damage than standard attacks. -weaken every enemy, don't focus on a particular foe before they are all slowing down, since Pain damage reduces accuracy.
