Relationship help, sigh Options

Here's the thing. When in a relationship with someone, generally you'll(or I will, don't know you on a personal level) say "That's my girlfriend" and things of that nature. The relationship is the possessive, not the person. The "She is your's" comment isn't saying "That's your property bro" its saying "She is yours to be in a relationship with." That's the key here.

It's wierd, I see it as being the opposite - genuinly you gotta understand that no one is yours.

It's one of the side effects of our consumerist lifestyle.

You cannot. It's what makes it unique (and similar to hate)

You can only GIVE love.

and even when you give it to someone, they cannot recieve it. It is selfless, when it is real.

@Lice- I beg to differ. There are times when I am low for no reason at all. Knowing that when I get home from work that I will have a family that loves me and wants me to be there is what keeps me strong. Love may not be able to be held and grasped, but it can be received. No, it's not something you can take. But if it's genuine then it CAN be reciprocated. You just have to be careful not to let other emotions get in the way if or taint it before it can get to its intended destination. Jealousy, hate, spite, etc... All those manage to do just that.
