Well, I critique people in art but I really can't do art either. x: Someone suggested me to post some stuff so I will but please bear with me because it really isnt very good.
I am practicing doing some basic realism and proportion but let me tell you its super hard stuff x:
In terms of what I actually draw its mostly monsters concepts and scenes/murals. I mostly practice porportion stuff on paper but again its not really good so oh dear.
Please be super hard and informative with me i really want to improve like super bad in terms of proportion and perspective and stuff.
oh gosh terrible perosn
bomb head monster thing x:
flying head
long arm concept
I was working on this a bit but it isnt super good it was just some basic coloring this is actually the first coloring I have ever really done in my life x: Ive never done shading either x:
You don't seem to be drawing "realism" at all, looks like fantasy... and that's good to begin, as you don't have restrictions about proportions and stuff.
I suggest you to play in fantasy, and when your hand get smooth start doing something realistic.
Let's see what you can do in some weeks.

Well yeah I do most of my realism on paper and stuff (which isn't very good I might add) and then sort of apply it to this. But I apply it quite not very well.
If I had a scanner I would scan some of my realistic stuff but it mostly consists of me doing proportions and outlines and then I take that and apply it to this.
Thanks, I really am trying to get used to a tablet. I do really appreciate your comments and stuff I really try to learn from everyone I see. c:
Now that I think about it... I can't help you at all.
You seem to be well documented and informed, you have lot of tutorials and stuff. I never read a guide, never, ever. I only play with my ability to understand how things work, and practice... So you will be improving at max speed if you follow your guides, instead of reading the criticism of idiots like me.
About the tablet, I don't found it more hard to use than paper and pencil. In fact, when I bought my tablet only took me one drawing to get used to it... The pencil is the same, the only difference is that I look at the screen and not at the paper(tablet).

Okay, honest to god, I adore that colored long arm one <3 it's GORGEOUS, the way it's lined are so stylized and it's so softly colored. It's feminine and fragile yet unsettling and creepy, just utterly brilliant
Never really finished it just put a coat of lame paint on it
also thanks for everyone who has commented. It would definitely be cool to hear some more comments and stuff to see what i am doing wrong/right. Its always nice to critique ~o:

the tree is really nice. I can tell by looking that the vines probably took a very long time. It looks nice and detailed. For the paint did you use a computer program of sorts to do it?
Yeah the tree definitely took me a while i just never finished it I sort of wanted to make the larger vines more obscure and stuff and add more foliage
I just used photoshop elements and picked some colors. The paintbrush is custom, its like a pencil like brush.
Basically its a concept art piece for a world frozen in time and ice i never really got around to making it icy looking but i used cooler colors so hopefully you got it sort of.
thank you so much c: also thanks for the photoshoppings as well its really cool to hear different things and stuff like that, i seriously appreciate it~ so thank you again.

Thanks. I still would need to work on more detailing and stuff like that before I'd actually get started. I really need to learn how to do folds in clothes and stuff like that. :c

The second one is completely adorable! So simple but so expressive at the same time. Something about the spherical head and the eyes reminds me of Earthbound or Mother 3. There are some stray lines and a few niggling anatomy issues mostly concerning the neck and arms, but for a quick sketch it's immensely charming and I would love to see more like it.
I'm loving the tree as well. It must have taken a while to do, the extreme complexity is almost mural-like. If you revisit it anytime soon all it would take is a little bit of detail shading to emphasize the vines, and maybe a stronger color like red or yellow on the flowers and star to really make them pop and contrast with the cooler blue coloration of the tree.

Yeah, I definitely need to work on my stray lines and my lineart in general. And yeah, that neck is a little off it is just hard to make a neck when you have a circle head and stuff. I will definitely tweak it and play around with it and post them here. I also need to work on my arms as well. Ill keep these things in kind next time i do one.

Its really just a mural. I do murals all the time on paper and stuff so I tried doing it on a tablet. If I revisit it, which i probably should, then yeah i will try to detail the vines a bit better I tried doing that already but I didnt spend a bunch of time on it. And I'll try that with the flowers as well. I wanted to add more flowers and stuff like that and maybe even some ivy.
Thank you very much by the way. c:

Seriously don't know why I didn't comment before actually. You're showing a lot of promising talent.
I really liked the tree so much so I did a little photoshop work on it, was fun:
Please continue to make inspiring stuffs
Owe! I can spot those simple tastics of "blur the edges to cover crop out" but you blured then too much To make this topic related, I think the tree is the best you've done so far as with the detail
One question, why is everything so....................... uhh........................ dark?
I dont know what you mean by everything is dark. If you are talking about the color of the background and the color of the lines then yeah they are dark. I guess im not a big fan of black and white contrast and most of these are just sketches which are meant to be traced by a darker color. I guess when I start tracing stuff ill add a bunch more contrast. ~o:

two not very good rough sketches of a sort of different style. I kept the round heads but made them bigger and made everything else petite. Ive been playing windwaker too much. :c
