If any of you have ever played Grandia, then you would be familiar with how you travel from one location to another. When leaving a town or field, you would be presented with the map of your area, and have options of towns that you have visited or need to visit next, sometimes greyed out if you are to not travel there.

What I am requesting is if a script can be made to emulate that aspect, if a user creates a map, they can set where the option would be, and if a switch is on for that location to show up or be available, it would appear on the map and you can travel to that destination. This would be for RPG Maker VX Ace.

A snippet of what this looks like can be found in the beginning of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xbayvFWLUU

This would be used for a game that I am currently concepting, and would definitely credit anyone who decides to take a dabble at coding this. Plus, there might be other users who can make use of something like this. Thanks for taking the time to read through this request.

You can do this with events. Make an event for each town. Then make the map. Make it so that you can move over the events. Then set the activation to action button. Then change the sprite to an arrow while you are on the map. Then when you select the event, it transports you to a map and changes you back to the normal sprite.
