((Yep. As well as new characters will be introduced. I'm really happy to see that you guys are enjoying this as I enjoy writing them

.))
Cross looked on at the rest of the group as they
traveled through a dark cavern. The cave was located
in the mountains just behind Harmony, the first city
in which the revolution took place, and the first city
which was attacked by O.M.Ni. Now, it was just a pile
of rubble...but Anjel and the others knew better.
Rumor was, that O.M.Ni built a secret underground
facility there in Harmony, which led them here in the
cave. They were here to visit an old man who resided there.
The man was often filled with information...but he
was a little on the crazy side as well. Glacius was his name.
It was a name that Anjel and the others gave him, since
he was able to live in such cold temperatures in the cave.
Time after time, they offered Glacius to return with them,
but he constantly refuses.
A small drop of water landed on Spirit's head, which made her
yelp. She hated dark and eerie places as this.
Luckily, Soul was there with her. Without her, Spirit would
go mad just as Glacius. The only source of light was
coming from Spirit's staff. It was a heavenly glow, which
lit the area bright enough for them to see.
The light briefly disappeared once Spirit staggered from the
sudden drip of water. In that instance, she almost
tripped, but caught her balance just in time.
"Whats the matter, Spirit?" asked Soul.
"N-Nothing..." Spirit replied.
Soul blinked at Spirit and placed her hands on her shoulders.
Anjel, Demohn, and Cross all stood there watching to see
if Spirit was okay. Once that was confirmed they continued
forth. While on their way, Soul glanced over at Cross for
a brief moment and called out in a whisper...
"So...where are you from?" she asked, while everyone went on ahead.
Cross looked at Soul and then back at the light streaming
from Spirit's staff.
"...I don't remember." Cross replied.
Soul simply didn't understand. How someone could forget where
they originated from. There was something up with this guy...
She wants to put her finger on it so badly, but nothing came to mind.
He was more mysterious than Demohn. But even Soul knew where
Demohn came from...but this guy was different.
His attitude, his personality...wasn't like anything she'd ever
seen before. Her mind circulated like a scientist wanting to
experiment on him. She wanted to find out everything about this
guy...because as of now, she simply refuses to trust him.
"They call you Cross, huh? Heh...now that is a word that hasn't been
heard from in years. Nowadays, religon seems obsolete. People gave
up their faith a long time ago after O.M.Ni's uprising...It's almost
like you're the last piece of faith that this world has."
Cross briefly glanced at Soul and then back.
"Religon?" Cross risen an eyebrow. Unsure of what the term meant.
"...You don't know what religon is...?" Soul asked.
"Does it have to do anything with O.M.Ni?" Cross replied.
Up ahead, Spirit heard the entire conversation between Cross and Soul.
She giggled a little as Demohn turned over to her and sighed.
"The boy is naive. But his nature is strong." said Demohn.
Anjel looked at Cross over his shoulder and then turned back.
"Yes, I know. Spirit, that is not funny. You're a little naive
yourself, you know." Anjel said.
Spirit shrugged and rolled her eyes at Anjel.
"What? I'am not naive!"
Anjel and Demohn chuckled a little.
"Religon advises to promote peace. It has been adapted into our
culture ever since the beginning of existence. In a religon you
worship and pray to a glorified figure that can cleanse life
from corruption. You go to your figure for guidance and meaning.
The word cross comes from the Christianity religon. If you put
two fingers together like this..."
Soul used both her index fingers to form a cross.
"This is a cross. In the religon, Jesus was the son of God, died
on this very cross to save the world from sin...but as you see...
that didn't work very well did it?" she sighed and placed her
hands at her sides.
Cross looked down at his own formation of the cross. He suppose
now he knew what his name meant. But why he was given such a name
was still a question to him.
"I see..." he said. "So why do they call you Soul?"
"...When we were younger, my mother gave me and my sister the names
Soul and Spirit. She always said...that there were three forms of
the human body. The first layer was its flesh, the second was its
spirit, and the third was its soul. She said...that the spirit
cannot live without the soul. So she always expected me to look after
Spirit since I'am the bigger sister."
"Oh..."
"We're here!" shouted out Anjel on up ahead.
The group stopped in front of huge double doors.
On the door was a rare looking symbol. Anjel turned to the others.
He knew Glacius would be a little freaked out by the sudden
appearance as he was not warned of their arrival.
"Alright. Glacius was not expecting us here, so try not to
scare him, eh? And now that we have a new face, he may even go
off the roof. Just let me do all the talking before he runs himself
into a frenzy, alright?"
Demohn, who never particularly cared to speak to Glacius decided
to lean against the bouldered walls just outside the double doors.
He crossed his arms and yawned.
"I will be here when you return." Demohn said.
Spirit decided to stay behind as well.
"Very well. Let's go." Anjel then knocked on the doors and waited
for Glacius to answer. He didn't. After a few more attempts, the
other side of the door was silent. They decided to open the doors
themselves and enter without the permission. Inside was a large
waterfall radiated in a blue light coming from the bouldered ceiling.
Bright blue and green plants surrounded a fireplace, bed, table,
and a large bookcase filled with plenty of books in the middle of the area.
Also in the area...was a hindered Glacius under the barrel of
a specially built assault rifle. Glacius's hands were placed together
as he prayed to the gods.
The man holding the rifle was companied by many others. However, this
man seemed to be a lot more decorated than the other followers.
"This is the final time I ask this, Glacius! who are your contacts!"
"Save me! Oh Goddess Mera! shine down upon me! Lift the corruption!
Break away my pain! Give me unto thee!" Glacius continued to pray.
"You are useless to me!"
Just before the man pulled the trigger to literally blast through
Glacius's temple, Anjel, Soul, and Cross appeared before them with their
weapons drawn. Anjel held his custom built carbine rifle with a red dot scope,
Soul's hands radiated with a dark aura which she used for her
black magic, and Cross held his blade which had two hilts. One normal hilt,
and a hilt on the side of the original. The second hilt was built so the
blade can be used in a reverse angle instead of the normal handling of
the common sword.
The man who looked tall over Glacius turned to the newcomers. Glacius,
whos body was trembling in fear, also looked at the group. His quivering
hands spread out toward them...
"Ah...! thank the goddess!"
The man towering over Glacius growled under his breath and narrowed
his eyes at the top of Glacius's skull.
"YOU ARE BEGINNING TO ANNOY ME!"
Suddenly, the man pulled the trigger of his assault rifle. A barrage
of bullets viciously ripped through the old man's skull. Scattered
pieces of skull fragments shot all over Glacius's living area.
Blood gushed out like someone vomiting. The man growled and then
pointed the blood covered assault rifle at the group who had just entered.
"NO!!!" screamed Soul. "You fucking bastards!!!"
"Watch your tongue, whore! Boys...look like we have ourselves a couple
of witnesses, eh? Hah! but no matter. It isn't as if we can be
stopped, anyway."
Anjel, who narrowed his eyes down his red dot sight, calmly lifted
his voice. Glacius was one of the main sources of information they
had against O.M.Ni...but now he was dead.
"In five minutes, I suggest you tell me who you are and what you
were doing here. If you don't, then you will be killed." said Anjel.
"Who am I?" the men bursted out in laughter. "You're speaking to
Hroth-Gnar. Leader of Sovereignty! As for us being here is none
of your business. Now, before we end your life, tell us, what
are YOU doing here.-"
Hroth-Gnar paused a bit and glanced at Cross.
"I don't fucking believe it, mates...well...if it isn't Cross."
"What?" Soul peeked over at Cross and then back at Hroth-Gnar.
"How do you know him?" she asked.
"Aye. The son of Sir Chandler Vanderbelt, wisest man to ever
lead O.M.Ni. Vanderbelt, aye, we're on his payroll."
Hroth-Gnar fell to his knees, as did the rest of his men.
They knelt down in respect of Cross and before you knew it, Soul's
eyes literally began burning with fire as she turned to Cross.
In her left hand, small sparks of electricity circulated around
her palm, and a small aura of fire appeared in her right hand.
"You're kidding?! Vanderbelt is the reason the world went into chaos!
O.M.Ni's mastermind...He planned it all...The world takeover, the
suppression of revolutions, the financial rapture...all of it!
And you're his son! You've been tricking us all along! I knew we
shouldn't have trusted you!"
Anjel then shouted at Soul.
"Soul! Do not be blind. Cross has no understanding of his history.
There are no forms of amnesia inside him, neither.
For whatever reason he isn't with Vanderbelt, it is clear that
they abandoned him. He isn't O.M.Ni."
Soul growled and turned a sharp eye at Anjel.
"You're so quick to trust everyone! How do you know that?!"
"You found out for yourself, didn't you? Cross didn't even know what his name
meant until you have told him. It is obvious he is just as clueless as we
are about this situation!"
Soul turned back at Cross and burned her eyes inside of him.
"I don't know who Chandler Vanderbelt is, Soul. I'am sorry. They are
bowing to me...and I don't know why." Cross said.
Soul stayed silent.
Anjel cocked his gun back. "You killed a harmless man in cold blood.
Now you will pay for what you've done. If you are under O.M.Ni's payroll,
then that means that you are not officially assigned under their ranks.
They are mercenaries. Built to do O.M.Ni's bidding. I will give you to
the count of three to surrender your weapons. One."
Hroth-Gnar grinned and looked up from his bowed position.
"Oh yeah? and what're gonna do, eh?"
"Two."
Soul turned toward Anjel. "Okay. I'am ready."
"Hehehe...isn't she hot boys? Looks like we're going to have fun tonight, eh?
Y'know, it's been a while since we had such a sexy thing as her. HEHEHE!!!"
"THREE!"
((Just a little something from RoT.))
Inside a secluded encampment covered by overgrown trees
and plant life, Mingyu's Fu Jow Pai masters stood in front
of their tents and the rest of the settlement.
Plenty of other pupils and students stood along with their
masters looking on at the incoming group of individuals who
approached them. Mingyu was in front of the group.
She traveled along with Akihiko and Sun. James was forced
to return with his brother to their british outpost somewhere
far from Xianfan.
Mingyu knew the look on her master's faces was not a very
happy one. She knew she broke the sacred code by
ignoring her primary mission. She was tasked with liberating
a slave encampment that had been guarded by british military forces.
Instead, she ran into Sun and James who were on the run.
She thwarted her mission, as she was now being hunted down as well.
This was Akihiko's first time meeting the Fu Jow Pai masters.
Decades ago, Mingyu's people technically stolen the sacred technique
from his people. As a result, Akihiko's people resorted to
the ways of the shogun. Masters of the katana.
Akihiko didn't necessarily see the change as an issue,
for he believes the way of the shogun is a lot stronger than
the Fu Jow Pai teachers anyway.
Sun on the other hand was nervous. Being unfamiliar about the history
of his people, he felt like he can learn so much from
Mingyu's masters...but if they would be willing to teach him
is a question unknown to him.
Mingyu slowly approached with her head hung low.
She felt dishonored to have disobeyed her mission. She knew
she let down her masters and the rest of the students there.
"Who is that?" one student whispered to another.
"That is Mingyu. She was sent on a mission two years ago...but
hasn't been heard from since. It is rumored that she
didn't carry out her mission. Which is a huge disgrace."
Mingyu heard the students conversate...but they were right.
They finally stood in front of the head master, Fi-Mong. Notorious
for his incredible punching power. Ever since Mingyu was a little
girl, he always saw to her advancement in the martial art.
"Mingyu of the Bright Jade. You return to us after two years and
still you fail to complete the mission given to you.
You disappoint me. As a rule, I'am obliged to release you from this
encampment, and horde you off to the british myself! What do you
have to say in defense?!"
Mingyu gulped...she didn't know what to say.
"I...I..." tears started forming pretty quickly in her eyes.
Sun looked down. Akihiko closed his eyes.
"As I suspected." said Fi-Mong. His eyes wandered over Sun and Akihiko.
After studying Akihiko's armor, Fi-Mong cleared his throat.
"You also dare bring a shogun warrior here to our encampment?!
Both our chinese and his japanese families has always feuded! Get out!
Leave here! right now!"
Mingyu bursted out in tears, turned and quickly ran away.
Sun looked on at Mingyu and then back at Fi-Mong whos eyes burned
inside him.
"...But...Mingyu has been a great friend...She saved me from british
soldiers countless times! She cares much about ending the occupation
more than the rest of us! My mother was a slave...I was hoping to come
here and learn more about the history of our people...but I see you're
no better than Bertrand!" with that, Sun ran after Mingyu. Akihiko
followed.
"Mingyu! wait!" hollered Sun.
As they stopped, Mingyu started pounding on a tree trunk with her fists.
Blood started trickling down her knuckles as she couldn't stop herself.
"I shouldn't have came here! I knew this would happen! I'am a disgrace!"
Sun caught up to Mingyu, forcefully turned her around by the shoulders,
and slapped her across the face to get some sense back into her.
Mingyu looked in Sun's eyes and couldn't believe he had hit her.
"Mingyu, listen. Forget about them, they don't understand what you
been through just to get back here! You completed more than your
mission, I say..."
"...R-Really?" Mingyu whimpered.
"He's right you know." Akihiko approached them as well.
"This may not be my place to justify what was rightfully done here,
but it is true that you have done more than you could.
The Fu Jow Pai masters has always been stubborn. That much hasn't changed.
But you must listen to what your heart says." Akihiko continued.
"Heh...you're right." Mingyu straightened herself up and wiped the
tears from her eyes. "Ok...I'am going back."
Sun smiled. "Alright. Let's go."
Mingyu nodded.
