Abstract: The story about many people's journeys to find out what their lives and the world truly mean to them. Genre:Fantasy/Adventure. Engine: Rpg Maker VX ACE
100's of years ago there was the Source the thing that held everything in balance by keeping the six elements Light,Dark,Fire,Earth,Water, and Wind in harmony the world was at total peace until a man named Garun became tainted with to much of the element of Dark and tried to steal the Source,but the Source has a mind f its own and in defense split into six elemental shards and separated to the darkest corners of the planet. The story begins when two Traveling friends Richie and Paul are stuck at sea for 4 days when they land on a island of festivals and fun. they thought they hit paradise and it was until over the next two nights a string of killings occur upsetting the locals so the duo goes to find the murder and they find a man claiming to be the one who will save the world from its dwellers. This man teaches Richie and Paul about the source and finds the Earth shard. Richie and Paul retrieve it from him but at the cost of Paul's life. So Richie sets out to find the rest of the shards to hopefully use their great power to bring his friend back.
The story takes of Wenki Island a small tropical festive island that holds many secrets including one that could change the world forever. The island holds sea salt in the air and cheers of joy always feel the air. You then find your self in a small lumberjack village called Grove. With lush greens everywhere and blossoming flowers every where. You soon after start exploring places of multiple environments and climates from cities like New York to Islands like Hawaii.
Bio: Richie grew up on the side streets of a small city island alone if it weren't for his few friends. At the age of 12 he met Paul and decided to escape from their island so they built a boat and six years later are still traveling the world together.
Personality: Happy go lucky and always jumps head first into battle.
Bio: Jessie grew up in a girls school since the age of 5 and has gained a hatred to everyone in her life until she meets Richie and her perspective that the whole world is evil changes and the tides of her heart shifted and she gaines the Power of the water shard.
Personality: She thinks first ask questions later and plans out every 5 moves ahead.
Bio:Daiskay holds a mysterious past he has no memory of who he is just his name. He wakes up one day with no memory in a pile of ashes and a crystal that holds the power of the Dark Shard. When he meets Richie he decides to join him in hopes of uncovering his past
Personality: A quite type who only speaks when spoken to, but destroys enemies in his path.
Bio: Shelia grew up with Richie but moved away a year before he met Paul and at the age of 14 ran away from home in search of her true love. When she finally finds him she swears to fulfill a promise she made to protect him and she later gains the power of the Light Shard
Personality: Happy go lucky and will turn into a killing machine if anyone tries to hurt Richie.
Bio:Eric lived in a peaceful small lumberjack village.When he met Richie he was amazed at his journey he was undergoing, but was against going with him at first because he wanted to help his sick parents in need until one day him and Richie go out to get water for the Eric's village it is attack by a sward of rabid Boars and kills his whole village. He then sets out with Richie to protect others form untimely deaths like his village He then obtains the Fire Shard from his village's ashes. Personality:A big muscle head but at times a timid big hug able bear.
Bio: Dartz grew up in a famous rich family of cold hearted assassins and grew up thinking that all should just end until he meets Richie and his view of the world is changed he joins Richie in hopes of finding more people in the world that are like Richie so that he can make who true decision if everything should just end. He then later gains the power of the wind shard
Personality: Calm Cool and collected, never lets his temper get over or else it would disrupt his aim.
Bio: Diz is the head of Wenki Island Security to make sure no ruins the paradise, but after the Source shard incident he as set saill to also find the shards to restore peace to beloved Island. Diz becomes a major side character always lending a hand although you never get to battle with him.
Personality: Brute hard headed but cool and smooth when it comes to handling the ladies.
Bio: Sora like Daiskay has lost her memory and is in search on a journey to find it.Sora meets Richie as he saves her from band of desert thieves trying to sacrifice Sora. After Sora is rescued she sets off on her own again to find her past because, she feels she must do it alone, until she hears a strange voice from another plane telling her to travel with Richie and his friends. So she joined knowing that whatever that voice was it was telling the truth, and that her memory some how intertwines with the Source.
Personality: Dumb blonde happy go lucky type, but when it comes to finding her past she stops at nothing, and crushes every thing in her path until she finds the meaning of her life in the world.
Class: Spell Blade . Bio: Ginta is Richie's brother by birth but never me each other because they were split before Richie knew of Ginta's birth. They meet each other back on there home island were there is a great fighting tournament taking place. When either when they meet there father who tells them there about there births. Ginta in total hatred Ginta runs away from from home to explore the world.
Personality:Hyper active, happy go lucky,but gloomy when it comes to his family life. Yet even in those times he can't ever pass having a large amount food.

Version one uses Jet's animated battlers along with holders animated battlers,a aeon summon system, and the source gives you the ability to transform for battle.

Version two consists of Tankentai's side view battle system. In this version the summing is just a video then shows a animation and damages the enemy. In this version the Source doesn't transform you it just gives you the power to fight monsters and do things other can not.

Version 3 Uses a combo battle system between Yanfly's Free Turn Battle system, and Yami's Charge Time Battle system. These are first person view battle systems putting the actors face in the gauge window. The FTB works by you performing your attacks then your enemies do. The CTB uses a charging time system. Basically the CTB makes skills and items take charging time before being able to perform. This version switches in certain parts between these two battle systems. It also does not use the original Source idea where you transform for battle, and the summoning system is also a video based summon.

This is the final version using Victors Animated Battlers along with many other of his scripts This version uses the original Source idea to transform for battle using Holders animated battlers. This version also uses a video based summon system, but with a few physical skills as a perk.
Updates: 6/29/2012 #Added 4 versions and added new characters Diz Leon, and Sora Elicia. Along with updated screen shots. 7/7/1012# Added new character Ginta Geans.

Sorry I will try to fix it,but I grew up in a place where I wasn't taught grammar and it really wasn't important to the school system I haven't even done grammar since the 2nd grade so my grammatical errors are just because I lack the knowledge of how to perform it. Again sorry I will try my best to redo it. As for the screen shots I didn't notice it like a idiot my text was cut off and for some reason I can't manage my attachments the option isn't there for me so I can't change it out.

The name seems slightly strange. Journey's Project? unless of course I got confused, which believe me isn't going to that hard Your maps need some more detail, for example the Ship could do with some barrels or some form of boxes and ropes perhaps...just to add more to the map.
I would also try and develop your Setting/World abit more, perhaps give over some more names of places in the world. That always gets people wanting more

Thanks I was planning on it this is just pretty much the layout I will do heavy updating on it. When I can fix my computer because I have a bunch of bugs interfering with everything I do and random shuts down RPG Maker. Also well about Journeys Project I don't have a Title screen yet so I decided to use my projects logo sorry about that should have made it clear I just anted my thing to be completely bear because I don't know how to add in all the fancy things and everything.

That will mean your Image won't be an attachment. and you can use all the other BBCODE that is available to lighten up your posts...there is also cooltext.com (but I personally would vote against it, but some people like it...so each to their own.)

UPDATE: Added new character Diz Skyward, updated features, added descriptions for the 4 versions of this project, and updated screen shots. Also give you the option to post battle systems you would like to use and I will try my best to apply them to another version.

I'm not sure what you mean by:

Just use whatever battle system you are comfortable with, or check out the scripts area for different styles. Personally, I'm okay with whatever battle system you choose to use (even the default) as long as the game play is balanced, the game mechanics work, and the battle system employs strategy vs. a hack and slash method.

Well I thought of doing something crazy alright. I figured since certain people like certain battle systems I would adjust the game for them so that they don't have to use only one battle system just thought that it might make it more pleasurable to the player.

It's fine if you want to post different versions of your game, each offering a different perspecitive (such as a different battle system). Personally, I think you should design the game using one method first, and then go back to make new versions once you have a completed game for a template.
However, to clarify, the purpose of this forum is for feedback on the game itself. I don't want this topic to be turned into a discussion of what battle system should be used, or a breeding ground of battle system suggestions. That can be done in the Theory and Design section, or perhaps a poll where people can vote on which system they prefer.
I'm fine if people suggest a battle system, as long as they are including that suggestion with other feedback, but posts that simply state "You should make an XXX battle system" will be considered off topic and met with a warn.
