Ok Im back! Seems like the site is going through some crazy changes so I hope im posting everything in the right place. I have been doing some art lately to really beef up/show off my art company. What I want to show you guys is a painting I did on canvas of Terra from Final Fantasy 6, its been a LONG time since I did a painting but I love the way it has turned out so far and its almost done so I wanna hear what you guys think.

Right place- biggrin.gif

What paint do you use? it has a lovely soft yet clean look.

The only thing that stands out as a little squiffy is the white trim along her bodice- that would be more curved rather than a straight line.

Well I only use Acrylic to paint with, but Since I havent painted anything in MANY years the tubes I used were well over 10 years so I did notice a a change in the paint. But I think its beautiful, this is the best painting ive ever done, though thats makes since cause i been spending years working on my drawing. Here is the final ver of it, I added ear detail and added a slight curve to the white on her top, and a jewel on her cape.
So what you think about the final ver?

She's looking lovely- maybe soften the chin line and make her eyes stand out more.

I love acrylics as well they dry much quicker and are brilliant for blending.

Soften the chin? I think its in the amano/Final Fantasy style, he did bold features even if they werent to common. I love the way it turned out, this really gives me confidence to do some more paintings. But sadly I just don't like having any of my paintings up in my room so I put it on ebay lol. Thanks for the feedback Kaz there isnt enough of it in the art section happy.gif

No problem - I see what you mean about the chin - sorry I am a more traditional artist ( must update my old thread)

Painting is very theraputic I find- nice to see some hand painted rather than tablet work.

I know right!? It seems everything nowdays is going digital! I guess I shouldnt talk cause my graphic novel is all digital(In the final ver) but i just find it stressful and many times just boring using the tech of today. And painting this one WAS so theraputic! I worked on it for like 5 hours and didnt grip at all, it was very peacful actually, Im thinking of doing some more but painting does cost ALOT more then just drawing so ehh. As for the chin I just wanted to be true to the style used in FF games, I wish my style was like that all the time but when I draw its all over the place, I have no idea why, I guess my heads just in the clouds to much these days. I wish the art thread was more active, I love viewing and giving feedback on art here.

Kaz where is your work? I dont remmber seeing any of it here happy.gif

Ahh ty! Everytime I look at it I just think it looks so beautiful! FF 6 is what got me into art and rpgs! My life would be so differnt without it, I would give my left arm to meet Amano. The problem is I think it would just look so tacky on my wall, I mean its a small canvas frame, and I only have one left, Maybe I should do the whole cast? I actually have a huge canvas with the whole cast on it I might post. But I think im just gonna keep selling my work on ebay. having someone love your work so much that they have to have it is just the best feeling:)

If your sis has some art to post then lets get it up here! The art topic needs MORE life to it! I keep telling ppl they should put me in charge of it lol.

Selling it on ebay - well done best praise going.

Combination of all sorts needs updating--the owl is in acrylics btw. http://www.rpgrevolution.com/forums/index....showtopic=30997 Many years ago I did a commission of a Barclay James Harvest CD cover for someone- I sprayed it with silicone spray and framed it - maybe you could do that and put it on your wall.

Well A few months ago I sold my first work of art, a clay mask I made years ago, it was so cool to finally be validated as a real artist. So i used the money and got more supplies and made even more types of masks. Id like to finish my Final Fantasy 6 cast painting but the canvas is HUGE so i need some more paint and those dam tubes arent cheap lol.

Kaz those pic links are dead. You did a commission for someone but they didnt want the original work?? Thats kinda weird lol, Id love to do some painting commissions for ppl here but I dont know if im good enough, i did a badass Terra painting but thats one thing, Ive never actually been asked to do a commission but i think it will be fun, maybe if I have some more paintings to show off here ill open a topic.

Most of the links should work - I get my acrylics from a discount shop. Clay oh do you have a photo I would love to see it.
No I dont have the commission - the guy paid and had it but I never thought to photograph it before it went

http://kaz-rrr.deviantart.com/ the originals are all here - do you have a deviant art account?

Yea this is my DA profile but I havent put anything on it in awhile, I guess I should put up my new stuff lol. Ive done just about every type of art you can do, I really like to sculpt to, so here are the NEW masks I did.

Now these were done with ceramic clay which is REALLY hard to work with, I did a greek god theme.
This one I made into a evil charm, a Malice Mask with the mouths eating sin. I got both of these on ebay to see how popular they might be.

I really like your loan flowers Kaz, there simple yet have a very peaceful look/feel to them.

Oh and I never asked what you guys think about my masks lol.

Those masks are really good - quite erie!

It is not easy to model faces and you have got some great expressions on those.

Thanks for the compliment about my flowers. biggrin.gif

Oh cool, wasnt sure if ppl would like them, ive been sculpting ever since I was a kid and masks are one of my fav things to make, Was thinking of doing something a bit differnt and doing a clay head/statue of Terra or Celes from Final Fantasy 6. I got my art company going now "Seraphim Creations" but still want a website to show all my work and do commissions.

I really dont like to paint the masks, I have one painted on ebay but I think when you paint them it just really takes away from the natural value look of the clay. Plus I Varnish the masks to protect them from weather so It gives them a wicked shine cool.gif I like making them look evil lol.

BTW this is NOT for use!

You can make a new topic for this type of stuff; just don't post it in the Artist's Gallery.
To make it more secure, I would suggest a type of watermark to place over it. Just my suggestion.

To the art, I like it so far. Although I would add some light/shade to the shoulder parts of that armor.

I did a few more this is a roman spear and i edited the default ring in XP cause it looked kinda gay

The armor wasnt bad for my first armor edit, but im trying to get better at icons, its like pulling teeth to get reviews around here so tell me what you guys think.

See, the thing is: you are just too good at icons.
Really, that it some wonderful work right there.
I believe the roman spear tip should be shaded down a few notches for realism. But you can keep it as such for clarity.
