How to become an art staff member? Options

Ok I know that I ain't no good compared to the art staff here and I mean whoa are they good, but lets say I was amazing good like the art staff what would I have to do to become one? I would be so honored to become a member of the art staff of this site. I know this isnt one of the more popular sites but I will say this is my favorite I have ever been on just because of there are so many awesome and kind people on this site unlike the others. So if some one could please tell me or what level I should be at that would be truly wonderful and exciting knowing I have a chance of becoming an art staff member.

We have a process for selecting staff members, and usually post a notice of open positions. =]
In the case of Art Staff, we already have two Art Staff members, but if you're interested in becoming staff for another area, feel free to send me a PM.

XMO you should have let me answer this! Anyways, who better to ask then the art staff themselves. First off, THIS site is the RPG site that started it all, and the only reason the other ones are even any good is because some of our Veteran members have moved to them which I dont agree with but whatever.

As far as art skill, yes we are good, but not great, we are all improving and getting better everyday, the main thing is we love to do art. I have my strengths and weaknesses when it comes to art. When it comes to becoming art staff this is what you need to keep in mind. Is there a opening? Are you ACTIVE on this forum? Do you do/post art here and give feedback to other artists? And have you been on RRR for awhile?

Being staff here is a honor and a lot of fun, and I worked really hard for the spot, so I would say just keep doing what you are doing Mooshra

The other thing to remember is that we have several types of staff-

We do like like the art staff to be at the forefront when it comes to giving critique and to make sure that artists are encouraged to improve and continue posting.

We also employ what used to be resource staff, these produce RRR exclusive work. Resources such as original sprites, battlebacks and characters.

X-M-O deals with staff hiring (I deal with Moderator hiring) so if you let her know what type of role you would prefer - what you could offer etc. she will keep you in mind.

It is relevant how long someone has been here and what they have contributed- we are always watching members of the forum and approach any that we feel might be suitable.

Which is how we got Lato on board (we were watching him and then as it turned out he applied anyway!)

As for you Lato I am singling you out to say i will be part of the same team as you just you watch I will get even better and better for art is my passion. Art on the computer for me may not be as good as my paper drawings, but just you watch I will become good enough to become a art staff member on this site.

You seem to be rather a good spriter- that is one skill that we always need !!!!!!!!!!

Especially now that I know you have interest in staffing I'll continue keeping an eye on you, and you very well might become an art staff (or other staff depending on your skills). =]

That's a good question lol, I've always wondered about that. ^^; maybe in the years ahead I'll ask if I can become one one day when I'll able to be active more often ^^; I do like browsing the art section here as much as I do in deviantart.
