I'll actually have to take a look at it. I made a demo for myself awhile back so let me see if I still have it and I'll try and tinker with it.
EDIT: Ah I see how to do it. It's quite simple really. All you have to do is take out the "slimeM" and "slimeF" switches and the checks. If you follow the event set up exactly, just don't do any of the gender material. Are you going to allow players to get more then one digimon of the same type, or are they going to be limited to one?
Yeh catch multiple of their type, I did manage to get it to work for an Agumon.
But I can't get any other monsters to join me, plus I wanted to add a 'can't catch a boss' rule using the same theory but that didn't work out sadly.
OR if it's possible I'd like to add a hunt and catch mini-game, kind of like a safari zone in pokemon games but this will be done by using traps, bait etc. on the world map.
kind of like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkN1mWTi6XcMight be possible through events, but extremely difficult.
Hmm....
make an event, teleport to a different map, make hero opaque, bring up a small menu listing 'items, search, quit'
items can be bait, nets etc.
search could be a common event, using probability values which would determine if I will find a digimon or not....
then using variables that will determine if I find a common to a rare digimon.....
hmm....
http://www.sendspace.com/file/bjylusI'm close!

would like to get rid of the enemy encounter thing and be able to catch with rope or net.
