Has anyone heard of WOLF RPG Editor before?
Is there an English translation?
I want to use it but I don't understand the language enough to use it.

If not would someone be willing to translate it?

I feel you. Idk if anyone here would be willing to do such a thing, but I've been playing around with it, and, it's pretty incredible. Pixel based by default? Win. Much faster overall game speed? Win.

I want to see this sucker translated soooo badly.

Has someone translated this already? (Sorry if necro) but I am working on it now if not.
Well, I am not sure what I can do. I am not an expert scripter. I can barely script RGSS2, so... I might only be able to get basic features translated.

Has anyone considered contacting the author and asking if he would be willing to compile an English version?
Its a free tool which means he's likely doing it as a labor of love and may be happy to reach an English audience.

I'm reluctant to translate a 'living' program without the authors consent, but that being said, I looked through it and didn't seen anything problematic to translate. It does have a lot of Japanese which is a pain, but not overly.

If anyone is serious about translating this, I noticed a lot of the Japanese text is in the ".project" files which aren't "encrypted" at all and can be easily edited.

I could probably translate this if I had the time, but I don't know anybody that uses it.. Most of my friends either use RPG Maker or they're using XNA or C++.. It has more potential than RM2k/3 but is far more limited than XP or VX.

If this were to be translated please contact the author for consent before creating translations.

It seems to be aiming at the type of Games RPG Maker is capable of doing, and RM is capable of tactical rpgs and so is W.RPG.

The Documentation does tell you what types of games it can make, I wouldn't use Google translate as there's many mistranslations.

WolfRPG doesn't reference built in simplified support for tactical RPGs anywhere that I see (site docs etc). The author says he designed it remove some limitations he found frustrating in existing RPG makers. Have you seen Tactics Challenge?

^I agree. If he doesn't say we're not allowed to do it, and he isn't losing anything from others translating it for him (so the fanbase is effectively larger and thus he gets more exposure?) wouldn't that be a great thing?

Of course there's always the ones that are all about me me me.

I've downloaded a lot of programs for which I have edited illegally and a lot of games for which I extracted resources illegally as well.

Not that anyone knows.
Hopefully I won't be sued.

"翻訳" stands for translate.

I'm reading or at least understanding that his English class must report mistakes and his feelings towards able to read English. It doesn't hint anywhere about his editor or about a translation.
