First off I'm well aware this would take some heavy coding, but before diving into it, I want to see if RGSS2 is even capable of holding it.

The idea is simple, using the Tankentai side view system, I want to input an action command system via key press. Kind of like the mario RPGs but with a twist.

The game i'm making is a lot more Visual Novel oriented, So naturally i want the battle system to run via mouse and input, the idea would be something like, Every attack would be scripted to have its own unique scripting call:

Example: The main hero carries an electric sword, for his basic attack move: you could simply press ACTION and you'd do a fair amount of damage. But if you were to hold the ACTION key down, it would charge up to a certain point, if you let go with the right timing, you'd deal massive damage, but if you don't let go soon enough, you instead will take damage.

Another idea would be fixing/repairing gear in battle, for this a set of three gears would appear on screen in which you'd have to act fast and rotate them into place before the timer was out.

Or even for Revival, you'd have a "Clear" animation of trying to jumpstart the heart, if you timed it right your character would be revived, etc.

These are just a few ideas, I'm well aware at how much work this will be, but before I dive into it, i'd like some input, if any existing scripts may aid? if theres any other way to go about doing this maybe? etc.
