hey, If you've been wondering, today Nintendo gave a press conference and anounced that the Nintendo 3DS Will cost 250 bucks and will release in March 27.
If you want a lot more details, including pics and info go "HERE"
Starscream hit the nail on the head then with the price. Plus with that hole in everyones' pocket there's also the warning that's been issued.

I'm buying mainly for the updated screen size plus having game-cube/ps2 graphics on the road will surely be fine. Lol, $250 aint that bad heck it's really not that expensive comparing it to the consoles(WHEN THEY WERE FIRST RELEASED.. JEESH PS3 COSTED ME OVER $600 BUCKS)

I'm more concerned with the games, which are the whole reason I'd even buy the system. At the moment, all I know of is remakes that are being released for. Remakes of great games, but all games that I own already, like Zelda Oot, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Street Fighter IV, and Star Fox 64.
If it gets games as great as the Nintendo DS has had (Ace Attorney, Final Fantasy remakes, Scribblenauts, to name a few), then I'd totally dish out the money. I think the DS cost $200 when it was originally released anyway.

Yeah okay some of them really do look stunning. Price tag and actual warning though... I don't know if it's something I'd be saving for.

Hey, hey. The DS and Wii all have warnings on them as well. Long before that, the first pages of game instruction manuals have had general warnings of "Don't play for extended periods, etc. etc." Does that stop you from using them? It's basically the same warning, except with a special note towards kids - and somehow I doubt you're a kid. Nintendo's really just trying to pre-empt anyone from suing them for something stupid - because the first thing that happened with the Wii was people trying to sue for Wiimotes accidentally thrown through TVs and stuff.
The "warning" is getting extremely blown out of proportion.
Also: The initial expected pricetag was actually 300$ on the 3DS, due to initial statements expecting it to be released for 30,000 yen in Japan.

I don't know though, I see where you're coming from but it's not any sort of duration it's just simply not for children under 6. Where as the other recommendation/advice is 30min then a break.
