I'm sure a lot of people will agree with me here that the site simply isn't the same without the Cesspool and Fun And Games is a poor substitute. I'm not saying this because I want the cesspool back. I mean, I obviously do, but that's not the purpose of this post. Would Fun And Games have allowed something as epic as the R'Bizzle saga?
Would Fun And Games have tolerated something as funny as the Suddenly A Dragon Warrior Topic or any of the other fun things we used to do? Not likely. Hell, I recently opened a topic where I wanted people to post pics of themselves and simply because I couldn't find the original topic that did that and it was closed the day after. And why's that? Because no one had posted a pic yet.
Really? So if after 24 hours no one posts in there the way you expect them to post, it can be closed, just like that? I was also warned for allegedly necroposting in a topic that, yes, was a little old, but I stayed on topic and was honest. Goonies 2 is a badass game and if you haven't tried it, you totally should. I even included some of its tracks in one of my most recent podcasts.
You know, when I started getting burned out on my games, and hey it happens to the best of us, I would frequent the Cesspool more than any other forum or subforum I belonged to. Nevermind that, I've tried to open multiple topics that I thought would be really funny and people would get a kick out of them, but either they were locked because they were "spam" or no one got the joke and posted in there with mild, unfunny posts.
I'm not saying "Y'ALL SUCK" or whatever, I'm simply saying that since this area's become Fun and Games, this subforum has been anything but. And I think part of the problem is we're worried that we'll post something funny, but it will be considered spam as has happened to me already, and get locked with a warn, which really isn't fair considering we're simply trying to have "fun and games."
Also, I've posted in the spam topic, as suggested, but since it's not my own topic, it gets glossed over because, well, it's a spam topic. It's a purely random topic where people post randomly. But here's the thing...if allowed to have our own topics, one of three possible things may happen. One, it stays on topic and we all have fun. Two, it gets horribly off topic, but oh well, at least you tried.
Three, it goes WAY downhill and needs closed anyway. I don't really see what the problem is here, but I can say this is one of the main reasons I used to come here and now...well, I don't know. Here's to hoping this turns into an actual discussion and not "OH MY GOD GUN SAGE FREE SPEECH IS NOT ALLOWED" and gets closed in an hour.

The main problem with the Cesspool was the swarm of random threads that were more or less other "Spam topics". If you have problem with that, take it up with a Director.
Actually, I'll move this to Site Feedback as it's valid feedback after all.
Oh, and about your picture topic, if you had just posted a picture with it, it would have stayed open.

I agree because when it comes down to the very basics of it - what real harm do "other spam topics" do? Now we have 1 huge topic that always gets posted in, and heaps of smaller topics that barely get any attention, rather than 1 huge topic and plenty of other popular topics.
However it's not a huge deal, it doesn't make much of a difference really

If you miss the non constructive nonsense, then go to 4Chan. RRR isn't about the bs that goes on in the Cesspool, and if that's all you're here for, then you're in the wrong place.

This is a nutshell sums up why we did what we did- and we have had only one complaint at the change,
Some of the topics in there were getting a waste of forum space, well beyond the mark considering the age limit allowed on the forum.
It is possible to have fun without resorting to a whole topic with one word posts shouting out "naughty big swear words and parts of the male anatomy"
Equally bumping old topics with one word replies is a no, but then it was before we changed the name.
The difference is the rules are now being enforced strictly, and hey there is more to the forum than the cesspool.

I agree with this for one reason: The old cesspool was better than the current. I don't think we should go back to how it was, but the current rules are way too strict. And no offence to Kread, he does a good job, but he really should have given your topic a chance to actually start.
We should just lighten up on the rules a bit, or go right back to how it was before. If the issue was spam spilling out onto the other forums, make the other forums stricter against spam to show people that the cesspool is the only place for that.

And like I already told you, that's not the point. The point is, the Cesspool, like any other area, is a representative of the community, and it was damaging. Look at the opening post of gunsage's topic: "DO IT FUCKER."
It makes look RRR even more immature as it already is.

And rather than warning or giving the thread any chance to improve you opted to close it right off, which is way too strict for a forum called Fun and Games.

Are you honestly that sensitive and delicate to belive that locking a topic without any content, written in caps I might add, is strict and "not reasonable"?
I'm speechless.

It would have been less strict than closing it, and far more reasonable.
I mean verbal warn, btw.

I'm speechless.
Drop it now.
I agree with Kread's actions the reasons for the warn stay.
