Buyable Actors


OK, the system is simple, but who knows, maybe someone finds this useful. First you make a common event, call it "buyable actors" or something like that, and then make one item in the itemlist for each actor you want to be buyable, the details ain't important, as the item will dissappear after you've bought it. Now make an actor for each item you've made, and they should have the same name. Then go over to the common event and add a conditional branch, and set it to "if [actor item name]" is in inventory", and then set it to then remove 99 samples of the same item, and lastly add the new party member. Then repeat, one conditional branch in the event for each actor that's buyable. Last step is to make the merchant, and make it so that after you've seen his shop the common event is called, and voila, you've got buyable actors. Now, there's one problem, and that's the fact that if you make the actors free, then someone may buy over 99 actor items of the same, and then get to keep 'em, except for 99 that'll always be removed. However, yu won't make the actors free, will you? Make 'em a bit costy, and that lil' glitch won't be a problem. As a side note, it's also possible to make the common event a parralell proccess activated by a switch, for example the first switch activated in-game, and that'll remove the glitch I mentioned earlier, as the common event will try to remove 99 actor items every frame you have just one or more with you.
