Okay, now im know im not that great at Spriting but im trying to learn as much as i can. As they say, practice makes perfect. So i decided to make a custom template (although still unfinished) based off Chrono Trigger, after seeing a similar style in a Chrono trigger fan game. I would like as much criticism as possible so i may improve my spriting as much as possible, anything you say will be used to further improve my work. Thank you~
this is the WIP template, i would like this to be criticized deeply so i can improve on it as much as possible.

Ohk, so i finished the template pretty much, but before i release it officially, i wanted to make sure everything was alright, i understand my shading might be a bit off, but that's the best i could do :/
Your weakness has always seemed to be walking animations, reg. With the kaduki one, the sprite leaned forward, for example. The way the arm and leg are positioned in the last frame of the 3rd row is simply awkward. Move the leg stretched out away from the body closer and bend the arm a bit. sorry if im not helping... im not entirly sure how to fix that frame, but i know it doesnt look right...

Oh hey Chibichan, yeah i know, animation has always been a weak area for me, but i can see what you are saying. im going to try and see what i can do about that. Thanks for the feedback
Nice looking template there Legacy (Find it hard to get used to new names lol sorry).
First colour count: 26 which is great and I wasn't going to say anything on that till I got all picky looking at your palette I can see that you can reduce this further without making a 'visual' difference to the image as there's some odd colours which have a slight difference, the type of ones which can be missed when editing. Example being on the chest line of the front facing frame, there's three colours on that line. I would have a look at it without the more pinky colour. Having an extreme close up look at it aswel I noticed your outline also contains two colours.
The second thing is the shape of the limbs on some frames look a bit bumpy in an odd way, his left arm is straight - then bumps out - and curves in for the hand, it's a tough thing to get around but you could come down and out from the shoulder by: 2 3 3 5 then come in 2 finishing off on the base of his left hand.
It's getting really late though if you like if I can tomorrow before or after work I can do a little edit to show you what I mean if you like.
EDIT: about the walking animation mentioned above there, you could try looking at Chrono Trigger sprites as the idle stance is similar to that of the ones used in it. Could help you to pick things up on how they did it. HEAD DOWN IN SHAME EDIT REGARDING THE LAST EDIT: Okay just actually looked at the file name...

Ha, thanks Holder, i would love to see an edited version so i can have a visual reference. And yeah, this template is based off Chrono Trigger, I've been using some sprites to base it off (but since there's no cloth-less ones, its kinda hard to see how they have their limbs T.T
Im trying to edit this walking frame at the moment, but its kinda hard aha, so firstly i get the colour count down, and then work on the walking frame. Thanks holder, you've been a great help, as usual, and don't worry about the name (its only Legacy in Japanese xD)
Ah sorry, thanks for the reminder. I got wrapped up working on tree styles I completely forgot about doing it, I'll get on it ASAP.

There you go I've been able to alter the first frame, there was quite a few other colours mixed in with the main ones you were using. I made it a bit less pinky aswel, though overall the colour choice is yours. For the eye I took away the second colour and kept the duller one so it didn't glow.
Hope you like

There was something else I noticed with this as I was altering the first frame. You might hate me for this but the bottom row doesn't really have a 'pose' like the top one does, I'm not sure if that's how the CT ones are done but it looks out of place.
I was going to continue with the rest of the frames, though I'd rather help out rather than alter everything. Advice and tweaks I don't mind doing as I tend to keep learning things at the same time.
