its not completely done yet. I want to add some vocals and mash them up for zombie sound effects but I thought I'd share it anyway, Happy halloween!!

(ps, u might wanna use headphones cause I can't create music from my stock laptop speakers until Christmas lol)

This is brilliant!
Definitely fits the theme, but I love the use of the bell throughout. =D

I'd love to hear more Halloween themed music, though I hadn't thought to create a competition solely based on that theme (maybe should have).
Anyway, great stuffs. =D

Thanks alot XMO , ya I should of mentioned something earlier but theres always next year! Glad you liked it and I got really motivated to finish an old project I was working on and it's far along enough to post I hope.

So for any mario fans out there here's a little tune I'll be featuring in one of my future games , a very complicated game but this specific tune chronicles the journey of one extraordinary lost little boo hehe ... its first played in the Subconian Boolands of the Dream World (inspired from the nes classic mario 2)

I hope you like the graphic, I made that too, it's my own take on the darker side of the Dream World that is Subcon. I always liked the characters of Mario 2 for some reason. now that thats' outta the way I can finally start on my entry for the Christmas competition!

Thanks bro and dammnit I realized I uploaded and posted the wip version of that track but I reuploaded and it's fixed now. lol eerie is what I do best haha.

Wart's Airship Nightmare Machine is definitely eerie, but it's really good.
Love the tempo, and love the tune. ^^
I could see my friend (a DJ) playing something like this in his studio, lol. He only plays his own music though, but he'd probably love yours (he's got the same style in terms of "eerie+upbeat").

By the way, you should totally include a random scream (like a ghostly siren creature does) near the end of that song (it'd not be expected and really make an impact, to be sure). =D

glad you liked it and really I'dlike to hear some of your buddies music if he has anything online to listen to? haha ya I like your idea with the scream at the end, I was gonna do a Toad impression voiceover at the beginning but then I realized it would fit better in Bowser's airship theme as Toad is trying to call out to Mario, the story is connected between Koopa and Wart's world, its real funny but definetely I always look forward to the competitions here.

We should do a old school remix contest in the future, personnally I love anything Nintendo but anything on any console before 2000 would be awesome.

He's a local DJ, never releases or records his music (he's pretty much of the belief that "the music lives in him" so he makes it new every time). I know he doesn't allow people to record his music (he only plays live at his make-shift studio on Friday Game Night; which is just a local get-together for college students and friends to play LAN games - I wish I had more time to go, but Fridays are usually busy for me).
Anyway, that said, he doesn't have anything online that I'm aware of. I'll check with him though. =]

Maybe even a low Bowser-like growl or roaring laugh? Would be interesting.

Instead of picking a specific game to make remixes of, we could have it opened up to all console games prior to 2000. Brilliant!
We have a good few musicians, though I'm sure there are a few hiding amongst the RRR crowd.

hey again guys, I just finished putting the final touches on an older song I had in my 1st thread, but this version flows alot better than the original!

I'll be posting newer versions of a few of my older tracks in the next week or so but currently I'm working on an 8 bit / techno beat (aside from my contest entry) , some more upbeat songs now that Christmas is coming along.

You don't know how entertaining it was for me to open up that old SoundRecorder application on the old Windows systems and record myself and play it backwards and such over and over. Hours of entertainment.


Prophecy of Light is absolutely fantastic! Of course, lol. But even more so because the tempo is perfect, and it sounds a lot like the ending of a familiar SNES game... can't quite get my head around which one, but I know it's there somewhere.
It's almost at the perfect length in time; perhaps another cool transition in there somewhere, but I really did like it. =]
I could watch credits to this music. =D
