Hey,
I want to pick my Engine.

@ Internet i read that the RM VX has a very small amount of resources and the most patches and scriptes are only work @ RM XP.

My Question: Changed this in the past years? Can I use the VX without cosiders?

Thanks
Zuggie66

Well... no. There are tons of resource for each. Then again, you need to be familiar with each engine before using either of them anyway, because that's just smart. Also, I have no idea what a cosider is, sorry.

I do not want to learn to deal with one engine and then realizing that I still want to benefit one another, so I asked.
In other forums they often said that there are few resources for VX, but the contributions come mostly from 2008.

To the Consider-Part:
Consider = mind, deliberate, hesitation

Just wanted to know if I can use VX without hesitation or XP should be better used.

Edit:
Ahw, and thanks to you =)

Edit 2:
Can I use multiple tilesets @VX @same time?

i dont use vx so i dunno.
but , i think theres quite a bunch of script for vx and theres also quite a bunch of resources for vx if you search around (i especially like some of the custom tileset that ppl made for vx happy.gif )
vx can be considered new , so its no wonder your worried, but i think theres already quite a lot of ppl fell in love with it (theres even vx community) and invent resources and script too, so no worries happy.gif
if you wanna wait a lot longer i think i heard a rumour (or something not quite remember) that theres gonna be new rpg maker (forgot its name) , or i might be wrong woot.gif

Okey, thanks againe.

Bad question, but I think here I get a better answer than on Google:
Where I can best find tile sets and scripts (best with a community) for VX? [Homepage].

The tileset limitations are mostly shrugged aside if you know how to use SwapXT or how to perform parallax mapping (creating a map using image-editing software and using it as a parallax).

Just look for "Celianna's Tilesets" if you want a nice set of tiles to work with, but original tiles are much better.

In the long run you'll be happier using C#/XNA or C++/SFML, instead of picking an engine why not code it? If you're not to this stage I would highly recommend Game Maker 8.
