hey can anyone tell me how to install patches into my rpgmaker 2000 project?
Its a minimap patch that displays a minimap by typing a comment command. Lets see after extracting the patch into a seperate foldier I then copied the dyplugin foldier into my project foldier with the .dll thingie in it ,n opened my project, made an event and type my command as a comment like the instructions said but to no avail.

RPG Maker 2000 can't load user made .dll files by default, so patches that use a .dll won't work unless the author includes an edited version of the editor designed to load it. You can download Cherry's RPG Maker 2009 Ultimate, which -does- allow .dll loading. To quote Cherry:

QUOTE
The aim of my project is to make things easier. RPG Maker 2009 Ultimate neither changes the executable file nor replaces it. It’s compatible with all versions and this way very flexible. When started, it will load any RPG Maker 200x editor and inject itself into it. From the inside, it is able to modify the RPG Maker then.

Essentially, you run it instead of RM2K and load up your project with it, and you get a reworked interface that's smoother and much better in general. Your project isn't really affected, and can be loaded with normal RM2K at any time. Aside from .dll files, it comes with a wide range of extra features, which Cherry details on the above linked site. The project is currently frozen, but the current version is still damn good.

I just checked, and the download worked fine for me. Make sure javascript is enabled(in case you're using NoScript or some other anti-script add-on), and just click it. Should ask you about downloading a .rar file shortly after. Using Firefox, so I'm not sure how it'll work on other browsers.

Always amusing to notice where these kind of questions pop up, rather than on the commentary field of the actual plugin(s) in question.
Anyway, just thought I'd leave a few words for others who'd pass by, since the suggested solution would not solve the problem, and OP didn't reveal the solution upon saying it's solved.

Basically, to be able to use the "DynRPG" plugins, which are mentioned here, on has to patch the project RPG_RT.exe with the DynRPG patch first. This is done by downloading the DynRPG patch at cherry's site, clicking on the exe which comes with it, and then browse your way until you find the project folder of your game. You open it, and click on the rpg_rt.exe, and doing this, will automatically add a "DynRPG" folder to your project, as well as making it read plugins in form of .dll files put in that folder.

RPG maker 2009 is not needed, to be able to use DynRPG plugins, though it does provide some nifty stuff which could be good enough a reason to get it anyway.

So now I usin the regular one again. BTW the same thinng happened on my Idraw where i cant dispaly the tools though it doesnt matter anyway as Idraw isnt all that good anyway

As I said, I left the solution for other people who might pass by.
There are a lot of people on forums, also people who never registers and just read its content who might have been left rather confused with how you suddenly found the solution, despite it not being the one given.
